I don't know. [stop - your mower may be under warranty and may qualify for free repairs. check with your owner's manual for a free number to call for information]. before working on it, make sure the battery is removed. consider turning it upside down to inspect the wheel. if there is no physical blockage stopping the wheel from turning, you could try spraying the bolt with WD40 or a few drops of motor oil. if the wheel turns, lubricate it again and do the same to the other wheels. if it does not turn, the wheel will have to be taken off.

SOURCE: Rear wheel drive does not push mower when engaged.

remove the rear wheels and check the gears in the wheels- they are plastic and part of the circumfrance on the inside of the wheel. If worn replace wheels.
also check belt- it should be tight with very little play when drive is engaged ( obvioulsy check this with engine off).

SOURCE: Replaced both rear wheels +gears

Sounds like when you replaced the wheels you did something wrong and now they are unleveled.

Ryobi electric mower has crooked wheel - does anyone know how to fix?

Hi,

If you can remove the wheel, compare it and it's connecting parts to other wheels and then use a tool to make adjustments if you see any bends. Then you can add the wheel back onto the mower and check if it's still crooked. Thank you.

Self propell not working right

Leave aside all the puffery about 3-1 and such, you described a front wheel drive (pull) walk-behind (FWD), but are asking why the rear wheels won't propel. When you push down the hand grip the front wheels should spin free. Whan you lower from wheels by releasing pressure on hand grips, turning wheels lowered to ground should propel the mower along with its unpowered rear wheels now turning be ground contact. Reminder, never, ever lift rear drive wheels of any mower off the ground while walking behind with engine running:
  1. You could be struck by blade propelled object.
  2. You could pull mower and spinning blade backward onto your feet.
  3. You could lose balance and be pulled forward in a fall.
Contemporary FWD mowers are recognized by a black chain housing on deck top leading from engine to left front of deck. RWD propelling chains are situated underneath deck so cannot be seen from above.

Need to replace flap on cmm1200

1. Push the mower down to its lowest mowing position.
2. Turn it up on its right side, so the left side is in the air.
3. The existing flap is held in place with a glob of glue at the left (now top) end. Remove the glue by whatever means you like. I "chiseled" at it with taps from a flap-blade screwdriver and hammer.
4. Now you can slide the remnants of the old flap out and slide the new one in. You'll have to bend it slightly even with the mower in its lowest position to get it past the wheel, but it shouldn't be close to breaking.
5. Replace the glob of glue with whatever you have handy that plays well with plastic and rubber. By coincidence I already had DAP Alex Ultra 230 Black loaded in my caulk gun - worked fine.

Front wheels on manual mower lock when pushing for awhile.

1 Locate the height adjustment lever on the inside of the left rear wheel.
2 Kneel next to the mower and push the left height adjustment lever toward the center of the mower. This will unlock the lever from the locking pin on which the height is currently set.

3Rotate the lever toward the front of the mower to lower the height of cut, or toward the rear of the mower to raise the height of cut.

4 Release the lever over the locking pin closest to the desired height of cut.

5 Repeat these steps with the adjustment lever on the right-side rear wheel. Be sure to set the right wheel lever to the same position as the left-side wheel's lever for an even cut.

Mower is cutting grass uneven when mower is turning and when mower is tilted . mower is cutting into the sod and loam when tilted or turning

all you can do is check the air in all 4 tires. pull it on level floor use a tape or 12 inch ruler to set the deck on the level. i have `12 mowers i keep going for a golf course. and this works great for us! And be sure to lift on each side of the deck while you check the right front left front, left rear and theright rear. look for sloppy adjustment holes and worn out rollers and deak wheels.
