Without seeing it in person. I would be sure fuel is not restricted by a clogged filter or varnish and debris in carb. Check vent in fuel cap , it must have one. Some engines can have a valve stick when hot, usually the exhaust valve, it will turn over very freely . Then next would be a faulty ignition module/coil.

SOURCE: when mower gets hot it cuts off crank back up run a min cut off

1 of 2 things happening
first change the fuel filter seams that the gas is vapourizing
If that does not fix it replace the engine coil as it heats up it is breaking down in voltage causing the engine to die

SOURCE: Ford E-350 2001 V-10 gas.

Check your fuel vapor recovery system, your van has unusual set up, and the effect is RAW fuel gets purged, rather than vapor.
The dead giveaway test is does the issue happen on light acceleration? Does it stop if you let off the throttle? Can you accelerate harder and "get past" the issue?

My lawn tractor craftsman 14.5hp IC OHV B&S stalls approx. 5 mins after starting so I restart and it can stall in another 10-15 min again and so on.

you may have some debris in your gas tank blocking the pickup tube. It will float away when the mower dies, then block the tube after it runs again.

I have a 2002, 6.75 craftsman presswasher when I start it, it runs for 10 min's then it quits. why and what can I do about it?

10 minutes exactly like you can time it each time after it sits for 15 minutes with out starting it? If it shuts off exactly each time after sitting for 15 minutes with out starting it's the gas cap. Leave it a little loose so air can get in the fuel tank and see if it keeps running if so just buy another gas cap. Get the part number from searsdirect.com and buy it on Ebay cheeper. MJ

Toro Proline 52" stalls out after warming up

Do you know if that unit has a fuel pump or not? If not, then engine vacuum is what draws the fuel in ... but only IF the hoses involved DON'T have any cracks or splits, and they fit TIGHT on the ports to which they connect! Try using an eye dropper and squirt a little gas in the air intake under the air cleaner. Does it fire then?

Craftsman Platinum 190cc 22" Briggs

hi there

danielburgi

1 almost sounds like you may have a restriction in the main jet of the carburettor or idle circuit transtional holes or idle air bleed holes , also check emulsion tube

2 then if these are all ok try adjusting governor - as soon as load exceeds power output - unit will try and stall- once governor adjusted re-try -

3 the only other thing it may be is too low compression which ia major concern

try 1 and 2 options 1st

3 is the last option which means a leak test to check compression loss or worn rings

cheers pauly46

hope it helps

2 year old craftsman 42" deck tractor runs fine for 15 minutes then sputters and dies. Will start, run 2-3 minutes, die again. Leave sit will run for 20 minutes.

if it restarts immediately, check the vent in the gas cap for restriction. also, the solenoid on the bottom of the carburetor may be sticking or getting weak. if you have to let it sit for awhile before it retarts, the ignition module may be breaking down when it heats up. i'd bet on the gas cap or solenoid though

YS 4500 Stalls out after running for 20 mins

I do believe they change plug(s) and air filter? There could be impurities and water in tank. Check for any loose electrical connections. Problem with valve clearance. Keep me informed.

My Mower won't start for more than 8 sec. I changed the spark plug, gas, oil, etc. I cleaned it inside and out including the carb. left in rain for 5 min accedentaly, cleaned, na da. Help. Thanks Craftsman...

the problem is that your carbeurator is gummed from from sitting idle all winter with gas in it. Get an aerosol can of carbeurator cleaner, remove the air filter and give the air intake two squirts of carb. cleaner. Then start the mower. When it stalls again let it sit for an hour while the carbeurator cleaner works at dissolving some of that gum. Repeat the process until the mower runs again. Sometimes there is so much junk in the carb. that you have to remove it and soak it in cleaner for about three hours, and then rebuild the carb. with the proper little kit. hopefully you won't have to take this step.

Next fall let the mower run out of gas and stall then you won't have the gum in the carbeurator in the spring.

Craftsman 19.5 riding mower starts runs quits no power

When you let it sit did you remove all the fuel or add a additive? If you did not then I would recommend that you remove all the fuel and add brand new fuel to your system. Gasoline only last for about 3 to 4 months before it will start to go bad and this sounds like your problem

Mower runs for 10-15 mins. ands shuts off

I had the same problem on my craftsman 18.5 hp, the problem was in the choke, the spring was broken, and the choke was not free, replaced the spring and it is fine now. Check it out. Good luck.
