Belt is correct size and worked 1st time i installed it. Now, several times later it slides off one of the pulleys when i pull out the pto and i have no idea why. I put it on the diagram correctly as well. Where do i look to next?
SOURCE: timing belt and pulley
1.Your engine has an internal timing chain, not a belt.
Therefore I'm going to assume that you mean the serpentine drive belt.
Common causes for belt to fail is either a mis-aligned or damaged pulley, improper belt tension, or bad tensioner spring (if equipped with spring loaded tensioner) You mentioned a loose pulley but didn't say which one! That's what I'd look at first! Also, make sure that all pulleys have no "wobble" indicating a bad pulley bearing Most common: water pump or idler pulley.

Can you give some more details about the engine type...4D56, 4M40, 6G72...?? Can you also describe what have you done as well so that I can help you out. Cheers.
SOURCE: do not know how to remove crankshaft pulley to replace timeing belt
Ignore smart a$$ comments.
Disconnect negative battery terminal.
Remove front right wheel.
Remove splash guard.
Place jack under engine.
Remove left engine support bolts from body.
Remove engine support plate bolts from engine.
Unbolt air conditioner pump and move it out of the way.
Get under vehicle and remove steering pump bolts and move it out of the way.
Remove 6 crankshaft pulley bolts, should be 12mm.
The engine support bracket shoud come off now.
Remove the main crankshaft bolt.
Remove crankshaft dampener.
Remove the timing cover bolts and take off the covers.
Take off the old belt & replace with a new one, don't use a previously used belt.
Make sure the belt tensioner is installed correctly.
Put all the stuff back on.
Get a Haynes manual, pages 3-41.
SOURCE: Timing mark on crank pulley jumps abruptly about
Try plugging the vacuum advance hose itself to test the timing. Is the white Mark located where it should be? The Yellow is your advanced timing mark and should be also also be aligned with the pointer.
SOURCE: Cant get serpentine belt on my truck
Try putting the belt on the alternator then slide it under the idler pulley last.
