You have to make sure that bluetooth is turned on.

go to your home screen, touch settings, then general, then bluetooth, make sure the bluetooth switch is set to on.

Then follow your directions for the your headset for pairing, usually it involves holding the power button down for so many seconds, then it will enter a "pairing" mode where the headset is able to be seen by phones.

Once that happens it should pop up on the bluetooth page of the iPhone and it will ask for the devices password. Most devices the default password is 1111.

Hope this helps and enjoy your Iphone, I know I do ;)

According to the technicians of Apple, Bluetooth in iPhone does NOT recognize other iPhones/iPods/other brands of phones, because this facility in iPhone is not meant for transfer of data from one phone to the other. It is only for call-hearing and music-listening without keeping the phone attached to the ear.

Bluetooth

iphone doesnt detect other devices iPhone has no A2DP Bluetooth profile, and it has been a real surprise. It only offers HSP/HFP Bluetooth profile (Headset Profile/Handsfree Profile) for mono headsets, which is not enough – you can use it only for phone conversations. A2DP's first distinguisher is Stereo of high quality for music listening. White on BlackWhite on Black is used to invert the colors on the iPhone display, which may make it easier to read the screen. The screen looks like a photographic negative when White on Black is turned on.

The iPhone can only connect to bluetooth headphones and some other accessories. No other phones can connect. It a bit stupid but i suppose it's to stop piracy.

I cant get my iphone to detect bluetooth devices. some devices detect it but are unable to pair with the iphone 3g

Most Bluetooth devices can connect only to one device. Make sure that it is not paired with any other device. Then again, if that doesn't work then, probably the Bluetooth device is non-compatible.

IPhone bluetooth disease!!!

Bluetooth on the iphone only recognises other iphones or bluetooth devices such as the handsfree in your car. It will not find other mobile phones with bluetooth. Another scam for apple to get everyone to buy their fones I assume.

I cant send files and pictures from my pc to my iphone?help

Just to clarify, the Apple Iphone doesn't tranfer file data by bluetooth. So whoever sold you the handset should have mentioned this. The Bluetooth on the phone is only for use with a bluetooth earpice or carkit.

Hope this helps
