Suddenly my BurCam 3/4 HP pump keeps turning on and off. I’ve closed all values to sinks and stools and laundry and it continues. What should I do next?

If you have one with the matching stool, it could be valued at $29.800. Without the stool it is worth about $300.

Don't do GE products if you have a push to start then I would suspect the centrifugal switch in the motor this is what keeps a closed electrical loop for the motor

Do you have a check valve on the discharge line going to the street? This would prevent the backup of water back to the pump making it want to come back on. Things you can try, can you make the holding tank under the sink larger so more water need to be present before it comes on? Also have you tried to put a vacuum break on the system? You can make one easy by razing the outdoor discharge pipe two to three feet high just as it comes out of the house, place a upside down "U" at the top that flows into an open larger pipe that take it to the street. This way if you are getting a back flow you will only get the amount of water between the pump and the upside down "U", however if it was me I would be sure there is a check valve close to the pump so a back flow cannot happen, you can get them at your local hardware or pluming store.
Lastly, the float is adjustable in two locations, one is the location of the float when the maximum water level is reached (turns on the pump) and at the level of water where it turns off the pump, giving a buffer area so if there is flow back it takes more to turn the pump on and less to turn it off, try playing with these two levels on the float.

Wal-Mart, Sears and others have the pump and can get the by-pass valve. As far as your problem You forgot to tell us!

That pump doesn't have a pressure switch! It has a digital flow sensor on discharge. It will keep running so long as there is a flow. Usually caused by dripping tap, or leak. Pressure doesn't stop the pump. By the way - Don't expect to get parts from Canadian Tire or Mastercraft - They told me that they carry NO parts for that pump. It is very similar to a Burcam pump and they may have parts or offer service.

Try coating it with Vaseline prior to putting on. This seems to help with rusting.

A washing machine discharges water water at a very high velocity and high capacity. This is far more waste water than the pump was designed to handle. The washer discharge must be connected to what's called an "indirect waste", that is, it must discharge into a laundry tub or sump, so that the excess can be stored until it can be taken by the pump. The specific code that governs this is in chapter 27 of the International Residential Code.

Also in the manufacturers instructions, they allow the discharge from a washing machine ,through an indirect waste. [sic] "The Sanivite is a drain pump that is ideally suitable for use in a basement apartment or anywhere in the house where additional fixtures are most wanted. It will pump waste water away from a variety of sources such as: a kitchen sink, laundry sink, washing machine ***(indirect connection)***, dishwasher, bar sink, etc."

This pump will never be able to handle the discharge directly and you need to provide a receptor to accommodate a washing machine. Is there any possibility of adding a laundry tub adjacent the washer and Sanivite pump?

The resistance of any mechanical switch is, practically speaking, 0.0 ohms.

If you are checking continuity across the two terminals of the lid switch, just use the continuity setting on the multimeter. If you get the audible signal with the switch closed the switch is good.

But, the lid switch has nothing to do with the drain function. The lid switch just keeps the tub from spinning with the lid up -- (given the picture at the top of your post is the machine in question).

If the mcahine won't pump but otherwise operates normally, first, I would suspect the pump could be malfunctioning.
