Honda GX160 runs fine for 5 minutes then dies like out of fuel.

Have a 2 year old pressure washer with only about 50 hours on it. Have changed oil 3 times and never left gas in it for storage. Also use Stabil in the gas. Was running fine until last weekend after about 45 minutes of use with a fresh tank of gas. Suddenly started surging and then shut down. Restarts immediately and idles fine. After about 5 minutes process repeats. Took carburetor apart and cleaned. Cleaned spark plug, which looked in excellent shape. Ran for about 45 minutes again and then started the shutdown problem again, acting like it's out of gas. When it starts surging and catch it soon enough, if I force the governor-feed to run a high RPM, it sometimes will continue to run, but eventually will shut down. Planning to change the plug, but the problem seems more like a fuel problem, rather than ignition. Any ideas?

I would look for the fuel filter. Blow it our. I know you have a new tank of gas, but you might want to empty it out and make sure the clean and put in new. Even with Stabil in the gas you might just have to much condensation in the tank

Honda GX160 firepump runs good than dies starts first pull after and repeats

Check that the fuel tank is venting properly, sounds as though the tank is not venting therefore creating a vacuum that the carburetor cannot over come. Try running the engine with the fuel cap loose to see if that alows the engine to continue to run.

My pressure washer works 4 a while then starts to sputter & dies?

I am going to suggest a tune of of the engine. Change the oil and oil filter. Check the air filter is clean and replace it if it isn't. A new spark plug.

Gx160 Pressure Washer runs fine for 20 seconds Then shuts off

It could be several things...oil level, make sure its sitting on level ground...if not did you use StaBil when you laid her up for the season? If not, go to Advance Auto and buy "SeaFoam" and following directions run it for as long as it will run...make sure you have water running through the pump during tests!

Honda powered gx160 model pressure washer wont start

Buy a new plug, drain out all of the old gas and put in new gas, and take a look at the air cleaner. If the air cleaner is dirty replace it. There you now have a good spark, good fuel and good air. The engine should start. If it doesn't get some carberator cleaner spray and some starting fluid spray.
