For most systems, you need to remove a series of screws in the back, remove the battery, slide the 4 - 6 tabs on the front and any components preventing the keyboard from removal.
I know you didn't state the problem with your keyboard, but if some keys are loose and the keyboard is dirty, you can easily glue back the keys with a small dab of Blu-Tack and clean the keyboard with some compressed air.

Yes you can. It only takes removing the face from the laptop by removing 5-6 screws on the back side. However if you'd like to save your self a lot of aggrivation. You can purchase a PS2 to USB converter cable and just plug in any keyboard to it and your back in buisiness. The cable is about $13.00- $15:00 at Staples, RadioShack or Best Buy.
