The ViviCam 5024 does not record sound when in video mode. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software on a computer, but you cannot record one on the camera.

make sure there is no other backrund programmes running in task manager related to this video device card. such as a webcam software can cause this conflict disable them all, maybe this might help and restart
If it plays back pre recorded tapes then there is nothing wrong with that section of the unit. Does it playback audio and not picture or does it not playback anything.
Also, when trying to playback a recording what is seen of the screen? Snow(black and white dots or wiggly picture?
The unit uses two separate circuits to record and playback tapes. Is any thing else connected to the unit while you are recording? If you are using anything plugged into other ports on the recorder it may not see the camera input causing it to not record anything..
YOu should have your our from your cam to the input of your vcr and the output of the vcr to the input of the tv... then simply set your vcr to the input channel that your cam is connected to ans it should show up on the tv, if it does not hit the tv/vcr button on the remote ... hit record and our done
hhm is u want to play a vedio clips frm phone then u need to install some codec into pc tat wil show u vedio like 3gp format...or else u can have nokia pc suite in tat play in multimedia player.
