I also need the answer...

I have a kenmore 80 series, top loader, 3spd motor, ultra rinse, heavy duty, super capacity plus, quiet pak "The washer does not drain the water out after the wash cycle. It started a month ago not spinning the water out enough but now it simply doesn't do it at all. This is weird to me because I can put the washer on the regular wash cycle and it works. It won't release the water or spin out after the wash cycle. Any help you can give me I really appreciate. I'm stuck with a washer full of water." Please help My washer will start the Rinse cycle, but then stops. I have moved the dial around to try Rinse on the various other wash cycles and it will start the Rinse process, but again stops every time at the same point during the Rinse cycle (no matter what cycle it's on). My husband manually tried pushing down the lid switch, but still nothing happened. Consequently, the washer is full of water and won't drain. Any suggestions? My washer is a Kenmore 80 Series (Model #110.2684294).

SOURCE: What is the date of manufacturing based on the serial number of my Kenmore 70 series washer?

Tyler,
It came off of the Clyde, OH production line the 26'th week of 2001.

Amazing, ain't it? Seriously... the info is embedded in the serial number. Here's the link to the code sheet.

I have kenmore 80 series heavy duty/ super capacity plus washer that after it fills with water, hot or cold and it starts the wash cycle, I noticed that the agitator only moves once in awhile and stops

hum either a bad timer sticking the point contacts close. have u tried this in all cycles? and possibly a motor with bad windings not enough power to run agitation? try running in mild or gentle and see what happens? I was tempted to say the cam dogs in agitator but they dont work then stop then work, when they go out they go out.

Kenmore 90 series washing machine, heavy duty, super capascity plus, quiet pak2 3spd motor w/5spd combo, when in spin mode, it smells like melted crayons

If drain hose is connected to a standpipe check that it's inserted no more than 4". You may be getting a syphoning situation that is allowing gray water to contaminate clean clothes.

Kenmore 90 plus series: heavy duty super capacity won't agitate

this is the site to find out how to fix your washer.
you have a broken drive coupling.
it probably wont agitate or spin, but will fill and drain.
you need to remove 2 screws from the control panel, hinge it back and then remove the 2 brass colored clips that hold the cabinet to the base. once you do then pull the entire cabinet forwards to a 45 degree angle and pull it off the base.
then pull the 2 clips off pump and then 2 more on the motor. that will allow you to get to the drive coupling. you will find it to be broken.
replace it with part number 285753a for about 15-20 bucks.
