I had a power issue. I have replaced the PS board and the Main PCB. However, I now am unable to change channels? What am I missing? Do I need to replace the T-con PCB?

Hi, check all your cable plugs and ribbons for a good fit/connection, also check the full part number on the replaced Main AV, this is typical of a variant mismatch fault, manufacturers change software and firmware quite often during production runs.

Unable print 49

Error 49 relates to the print head drive voltage. It may just need the flat ribbon cables that connect the head to the main pcb reseating, but equally it may need the print head replacing (most likely).
An outside chance that the main pcb will need replacing.
In theory, all of these jobs are a task for an engineer.

Basically I have the same problem that has been displayed a lot on this site. My pioneer DEH-P7800MP display won't show when the face closes. When the face opens up all the buttons and lights and display...

The faceplate and head unit is is attached via a flat ribbon cable. (Caution only continue if you have some courage). If you open the faceplate you will see that the ribbon cable is seated in too a flat connector on the PCB (Printed Circuit Board). This connector has a locking mechanism on it that when locked presses the contacts of the cable to the connector. Ensure that the cable is seated properly and that the latch or the lock is in the locked position. Assuming that the tension lessons when the unit is closed so it draws away from the connector and when the unit is open it pulls tension creating a contact. If you see no signs of mishap on this end of the connector try the other end.
Hope this helps.

Vertical lines on screen different colors

The problem is the LCD panel or the logic PCB (printed circuit board). you can find the logic pcb attatched via flat ribbon cables or small plugs. Good luck. The part number should be on the printed circuit board. I hope this helps.

Fitting instuctions for replacing lcd screen on my samsung e250 mobile phone

ok...
1.take off battery cover, remove battery, memory card and sim card
2. remove the five screws on the back... two at the bottom, two in the middle and one on the mid top right and take off this cover, remember! keep the screws safe
3. slide the phone up and take out the two screws on the left and right paralel with the battery tabs then remove the two screws ether side of the camera...they might be covered by rubber coverings, these pop out easily
4.now you can prise the top of the screen off with a small flat headed screwdriver
THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS HERE, IF THE REPLACEMENT SCREEN HAS NO RIBBON CABBLE ATTACHED THEN FOLLOW FROM FIVE, IF IT HAS ONE CONNECTED THEN FOLLOW FROM
5. its conected to a ribbon cable, remove the tape and slide out the cabble from the screen.
6. now take out the screen PCB from the plastic casing and replace it with your new one and put the ribbon cable in and clip it back together, now reverse stages 3 to 1 to put it back together.
7. if the ribbon cable is attached now you must look at the PCB board on the back for a square copper line, on the left of this there is a big black square just smaller than the copper square, prise this off with your finger nails, keeping it to the side take the PCB up about 2mm and then fold the bottom of it to revele it is conected to a ribbon cable by a bigger version of the black square so prise this off and take the PCB and put it safely to one side.
8. look on the front of the phone under the top bit of the screen, there should be a semi circle in the plastic with a black circle in the top of it, use your nail or a flat headed screwdriver to pop it to the other side of the semi circle, now the slider should go past what it used to o you can slide it up to when you can see the ribbon cable go down through the phone, now push the black square end through and you should be able to slide the whole front off.
9. replace the screen by taking the screen PCB out and repacing it, then thread the ribbon cable back through and slide the front on while making sure the back circle goes into the semi circle and to the top side of it, then thread the black square through the phone to the front and clip the phone front back on.
10. snap the black square back on to the back Circuit then put the circuit back into the phone and snap the small black square back on then go from stages 3 to 1 to put it back together.
this should be fairly easy to do for most people.

Black bar

On a non H.Def plasma, there is a PCB that runs along the bottom of the screen that is attached to the screen by a several brown/gold colored flat ribbon cables. I've seen where this ribbon cable is not seated properly in the jack. The ribbon cables are generally responsible for that section of the screen. Next possibility is the PCB itself is defective.
Not to scare you, but the plasma screen itself is a possible suspect.

Broken flat ribbon cable on SD 28 flash

Hello, after breaking mine this morning I was able to fix the flash so It can fire from the hotshoe.

Any automatic TTL features will still not work however atleast you will be able too fire in auto, and manual modes.

I simply opened the flash by taking off the hotshoe, and then swiveling the flash head 90 degrees to expose the four screws there. You need only remove the two screws from the front side of the unit.

Open the battery door and gently pull away the front case (Be careful there are several delicate ribbon cables that you do not want to snap. From here you can either unscrew all the ribon cables to free yourself room to solder or try and dodge them.

You should now be able to see the rear side of the PC sync socket. There is a blue wire that joins the outer edge of the socket - this is ground. Solder onto this point and join onto the top left circle of the PCB board of the hotshoe. (Opposite corner from where the ribbon cable attatches) There are copper circles exposed on the pcb for easy soldering.

Next, return to the rear of the PC sync socket and note the orange wire coming from the centre pin. Solder a wire to this point, and then down to the hotshoe PCB and to the circle that joins to the centre pin of the hotshoe. (Trace the circuit paths)

Sorry I did this about 30mins ago and I'm remembering this out of my head.

Goodluck
