F06 and F14 error codes

I have the F06 error code as well. I just replaced the door lock (as I did 6 months ago with successful results) but this time I continue to get both F06 and F14 error codes. The door lock repair is quite easy. Unplug from the wall, remove the band spring on the door seal (20 in diameter or so), then remove the 3 Torx screws from the door lock (screws outside surface of dor lock) remove connections, remove & replace lock. RepairClinic.com for parts

F14 is a CCU (Central Control Unit) problem (or so says the Whirlpool manual), and I desperately need help. Anybody? Need a hand here. --Paul

Before you replace the control panel use a tester on the cable to check continuity .. if the cable is faulty you will get this fault

Testimonial: "Thx. All OK. I labeled all 14 cables, installed new one, and...success. It's said CCU relays could be culprit, and can be replaced for $4, not $240."

Circuit Board Medics can rebuild the CCU for the F14 error and the MCU for the F06 error. The parts are upgraded over the factory components to prevent the errors from happening again. Find more details at www.CircuitBoardMedics.com.

The error f06 appears on display of ariston hotpoint model wdg8640

The User Manual for this model was of no help ... other than to suggest unplugging the unit which you already did ...
I could not find specific error codes for your model ... but F06 on Hotpoint washers in general have two definitions for F06:

F06 - Door lock fault
Issue: Washing Machines door cannot be opened or closed / when the door is closed the machine the programme will not start.

F06 - Program selector dial

Since you are having door issues ... then I would say the door lock is indeed the problem.
Check to make sure there is not any debris in the door lock insert, but my guess is that is not your problem.
It could be the latch on the door or the lock switch mechanism in the machine housing. Odds are it is the locking mechanism

Here is a Hotpoint You Tube on how to replace ... but it is not for your specific model

Good luck with your troubleshooting!

Check the wire harness that goes to all your connectors on the Motor, MCU, and CCU. I have seen a loose wire connector do this F06 error.

If all checks ok, then its either a faulty MCU, or faulty drive motor.

Indesit 123 FAULT F06

I had this error and engineer said the meaning of the codes on the web are wrong as they don't like to disclose their real code meanings for pure protectionism reasons. F06 on IWD7145 is a burnt out door interlock IDC error. He replaced the part number C00085194 (replacement door interlock) and microritardator part number 085194 and it works ok now.
