Hey everyone, My trusty little Black & Decker CFP20 Type1 Food processor's motor went kaput but still have the accessories. If anyone needs blades, or other parts- email me. Will put everything in a box in the garage. Know it is about 25 yrs old but mine worked for that long. I no longer have the bowl or top w/ feed chute- have already sent that to someone. Good Luck. Hate to give up on old stuff when it was built to last! I did call the above number but this model has long since been discontinued... [email protected]
In order to use the blender the food processor bowl and lid must be LOCKED in place. Turn the lid on processor until it's locked. Then you are ready to use the blender. Select desired speed or pulse.
In order to use the processor, remove the blender and place the gray lid in its place. It should be locked. The lid keeps the blender shaft from spinning and allows the shaft on the processor to turn.
To remove the processor bowl, gently lift up on the lid to unlock it and then turn it away from processor. Bowl lifts off. That's it! Enjoy!
If you already have a lot of attachments for this model, I would purchase a used motor unit. I got a complete setup at a yard sale minus the work bowl cover for $3 as a spare, and often see them at thrift stores priced quite inexpensively. You could also check ebay. Motor units routinely go for less than $25 including shipping. I'm pretty sure most dcl-8 series motors will work with you bowl and attachments. I like the quality of the older units better than the newer ones. And if you watch ebay closely, you can pick up a lot of pieces really cheaply. Good Luck,

I need a lid for mine here in Bristol RI but I did see that the bowl was still available. If the site I sent doesnt have the one you need try a google search (Braun 4262 ) and there were a few sites that had the mix bowl but no lid
I have the Black & Decker Shortcut food processor Model CFP10 and it has a broken bowl. I would prefer to replace the bowl but haven't found a source. So I would be willing to sell the good parts: Food Pusher, Food Chute/Cover; Food Fingers/ Reversible Disc, Disc Stem, Knife Blade. Make me an offer and e mail me at: [email protected]. I'll accept Pay Pal or certified checks.
Most recent food processors have safety features that make it difficult to remove the work bowl. For the Kitchen-Aid RRKFP650, remove the work bowl pusher and cover first. Then you have to give the work bowl a good tug in the clockwise direction - don't be afraid of breaking the work bowl - it can take a little bit of force. If it is still sticking, you can apply a small amount of distilled white vinegar with a Q-Tip to the area between the base and workbowl - in most cases, you won't have to do this.
With the food processor I have it will not allow you to remove the bowl unless the top is off.Try take the top off or putting it on.Then remove it from the processor.
