Are you sure the pump is working, or it the motor thats running? If the pump is truly working, there is a clog in pump or line. If the motor is working, but the pump is not, you will need to replace. You can usually buy a replacement pump for the washing machine for around $50. They are usually easy to install for a beginner DYI. Make sure you know the easiest way to remove washing machine housing to get at pump and motor. Unplug entire unit. Remove 2 hoses for pump and either screws or brackets to remove housing. BTW if the washing machine won't drain, you are going to have a bunch of water that gravity wants to dump out of machine. Bring pump to parts dealer for exact match.
