For that series, you have to use the codes in the dealer manual. I don't have one any more since I stopped working on the old models.I normally send my customers to checkout tech for the old ones. The guys are pretty good there

Please find below the solution:

Non-printing models (also applies to HR-8TE printing calculator):

1. Press [AC]
2. Hold [SET/%] key for about 2 seconds
3. Press [TAX+]
4. Input the tax rate
5. Press [SET/%]


Printing models (except HR-8TE):

1. Have calculator in "print" mode
2. Press [CA]
3. Hold [SET/%] key for about 3 seconds
4. Input the tax rate
5. Press [TAX+]
6. Press [SET/%]

I finally found this answer elsewhere on this site answered by flexion1/Mark. Thought I would share since it took me ONLY a day and a half to find it.

Turn key to PROGRAM mode.

3 SUBTOTAL 0125 SUBTOTAL 9.25 CASH 0 CASH 5002 CASH SUBTOTAL

According with the Casio Support, have some methods to drive Tax Tables...

* How do I program the Tax Table on the cash register?
Enter 3 press Subtotal enter 0125 press Subtotal enter tax (ex 8 1/4% = 8 decimal point 25) press CA/AmtTend enter 5002 CA/AmtTend press Subtotal

* How do I program the tax table?
Enter 3 press Subtotal enter 0225 press Subtotal enter tax (ex 8 1/4% = 8 decimal point 25) press CA/AmtTend enter 5002 CA/AmtTend press Subtotal

Additionally, I suggest obtain some copy of this document: CE-4700 Progtamming Manual for this and the future.

Use the PGM key and set to PGM. 3, sub total, enter tax table {1, 2, 3, 4}, Tax PGM, 13.00, ca/amt tend, skip to set 'round off/add-on', ca/amt tend, sub total. 4 tax tables are used for the following purposes: table 1 for the federal tax items, table 2 for the provincial tax, 3 and 4 for provincial and different tax table.
