With working sim in phone, go to keypad and enter *2767*3855# and wait, this will fully reset phone so ensure you back up anything on it first, during repowering up remove battery and insert sim from other network then turn back on, phone should now be sim lock free. As always this is at your own risk.This will likely work with other Samsung phones

thanks for this info, but ive read this same code on several websites, when the phone requires a 'phone lock' code, it wont accept the # or the * key. in the 'phone lock' mode, there is only space for 8 digits as well. the phone lock is the personal 4 to 8 digit codfe that i havde for got. so all i want to do is reset the whole phone. any tips please?

If you want to unlock your phone put a sim from another company then type *#9998*3323# it will reset your phone. Push exit and then push 7, it will reset again. Put your other sim in and it will say sim lock, type in 00000000 then it should be unlocked. Type in *0141# then the green call batton and it's unlocked to all networks. This code may not work on the older phones and some of the newer phones. If it doesn't work you will have to reset your phone without a sim in it by typing *#2767*2878# or *#9998*3855#

If somebody need to unlock the phone yoy can simply download a soaftware of your mobile and unloock it
You need to re-flash your phone to a standard non-branded firmware to get the standard codes working. The only problem is that if your Samsung phone is locked, you can't flash it or it will permanently freeze.
