Wekiwa, your TCO, (thermal cutout) probably opened during the high temps in self clean. You will have to remove the back panel and replace it. It should be just under the vent back there. Part number 4450934. You can ohm it out first to make sure, it will show open (no continuity) if bad. This is an easy job, won't take you that long. Kill power to the range before going back there. In doing a little more research on your model, I see there was a service flash where they recomend moving the TCO over to one side so the cleaning cycle doesn't affect the TCO. This may be covered by Whirlpool. You might want to call them and inquire. Catriver..post back.

Sometimes in self clean it can burn out the element. Need to check the element with an ohm meter and see if it shows resistance. If it shows open then the element is bad. If it shows resistance then the element is ok. Next see if you are getting 220 volts to the element when in bake mode. If you are not getting 220 volts then the control is bad.

I fixed the problem simply by pressing the clean button when the oven was warm, not cold.
For some reason not explained in the instruction manual, the oven door safety locked properly and automatically when the oven was warm. I don't know why, but I'll take it!!

Tony, this sounds like you may need to have a new burner switch installed, it is called an infinite switch. If it is for the dual burner, make sure you tell the appliance parts store this so they can order you a dual infinite switch.
