I would unplug it.Maybe the computer reset. You said construction workers.Did they add more electrical sockets. If it's tripping its overloading because two many things running on the circuit board or grounding out on something. It could be the circuit breaker going bad.You can turn off power going into the box then tighten your wires and ground wires going to that breaker. They get loose over years. But with all that you said I believe something has become loose inside the unit while they moved it..
Thanks, I have tried it on different circuits within the house by using an extension lead. Firstly it was using the downstairs ring I then tried it on the garage ring. Both times it tripped. It is strange as I can get it to spin the clothes dry without tripping and it fills and washes for a while before it trips. It is like there is a certain part of the program that is causing the trip.

SOURCE: Machine fuses house RCD if a drying cycle is selected
Suggest you turn the power off, remove the top cover, diconnect the live and neutral connections to the dryer element (likely to be two of each flavour of connection if the machine has high and low dry settings). Pop a bit of insulating tape around the wire ends so you don't short anything out. Now try to put the machine through a drying cycle. If it works (albeit cold) without tripping the house power, you need a new dryer element. If the house power still trips, turn the power off again and without reconnecting the element wires, disconnect and tape the live and neutral wires from the blower motor. Again, try to run a drying cycle. If this stops the house power tripping, then it looks like a motor problem (though this would be quite unusual). If the house power still trips, you need to have a careful look at all the wiring between the main timer, the dryer timer, any hi/lo heat switch, the blower motor and the element with its associated thermostats and thermal cutouts (all located near the element on the air duct). Look in particular for chafes where wires go round corners, and where wiring crosses from the case to the suspended machinery in the middle of the machine. Pop any follow-on queries in the comments section of this question - I'll keep half an eye on it. A.
SOURCE: AEG Lavamat W1450 2 years old,
possibly wire come loose or try disconnecting heater element and repeat spin cycle.if runs well then, replace heater.
SOURCE: Hotpoint WMA 48, tripped house rcd, no lights on and water heating noise.
If you are not sure what you are doing, call out an engineer and have the job carried out properly with safety testing at the end of the job!
SOURCE: Washer/drier tripping rcd!
Hi.
Sounds like you have a short or an earth fault.
if it trips right away, try it with the motor disconnected, if it still trips then you will probably have to call an engineer..
SOURCE: My Bosch Classixx 1200 washer causes the household RCD to trip
The first thing I would recommend u do is to remove the motor and check the carbons for wear, Their should be at least 3mm of carbon showing, any less then u shud replace.
The other possibility is a faulty heater element, u cud try it with the element disconnected, if it does not trip then the element is faulty.
Plz rate my solution.
thanks.
Hello royal37 - Hi - The dispenser drawer could either be cracked or have a broken latch due to interference between the drawer front and top panel. Contact a professional to move forward accurately and might possibly need to order a service kit (PN: 137146000/part number may be different depending on your model number).
Hi Iyle Sponheim - From where the leakage is occurring, the washer door needs adjusting done as soon as possible. Either the door gasket is not securely sealing or the door itself is possibly damaged. Connect with a professional to move forward accurately to properly assist with the repairs.
Hello jamespeattie - Does the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose may be kinked or the drain in the house is clogged. Once you have confirmed and cleaned the hose and if issue continues contact a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may possibly have a faulty pump or control board.

Today I put it on the shortest wash and watched it. It ran the wash fine. It then moved onto rinse. It was running the rinse fine and then suddenly there was a spark which looked like it hit the drum and my RCD and MCB tripped. What would cause this?
I think something has gotten through the small holes inside where the heating element is.Ive seen bra supports (Small thin medal) that comes out the bras and goes inside the through the holes and makes contact with the heating elements..It will trip the breaker every time..And that would make a spark at the drum..Something to look for.It makes since
In case anyone else has this issue, a washing machine repair man came our to look at it. The heating element was damaged, it actually had a split in it. He replaced the element and all is good now. Think it must have just been a coincidence that it went at the same time that it was moved. The fault code was E68.
