Thought it might have something to do with the battery. Turns out thats not the problem. Ive cleaned the unit and looked for anything blown ( fuses) or disconnected. Havent found anything.
However, the blades do engage once the mower is first started but that only last for about 10 minutes of mowing. Then all of a sudden, the blades just stop working. Mower runs great, blades not at all.
Check the clutch if it engage then check the cable and belt to if it works make sure all the bolts are tight. usually the belts is too loose or if its a clutch drive maybe the clutch doesn't engage or worn out.

There are several safety interlock switches, all of which must "make" before the starter will engage. These include parking brake (on), clutch (disengage), blades (raised and disengaged). You might have to check each with a meter.
you need to look around and find out what the problem is. is the belt on the pulleys or has it came off? can you turn each blade under the deck by hand or is a bearing seized up? is there a chunk of wood or a rock or wire caught in the spindles? do you have manual or electric clutch to engage the blades? has the fuse blown or has the cable broke. look around there is something that wont look right and that is more than likely your problem
You have indicated a bad battery. There is enough charge in the battery to start and run buy not enough when you engage the blades. Check the battery by load testing it and checking with a multi-meter.
Have you ensured that the blade is securely screwed into the drive motor? Using the two-pronged tool that came with the juicer (or, if you've misplaced it, a DIY solution like two small screwdrivers), make sure that the blade unit is screwed clockwise onto the drive motor. There should be two holes on the inside of the blade unit, at the bottom of the "bowl." That's where you remove the blade unit for cleaning and reattach and tighten it.
If you look at the motor pulley area, there should be two different pulleys with a PTO clutch between them. The PTO clutch has wires going to it, because it is operated electrically by the blade engage switch.
It sounds like you could have accidentally put the mower deck belt onto the main drive pulley (which turns all the time) rather than the pulley that is farther out from the engine, which only turns when the engage the blade switch. If so, just loosen the mower belt and move it to the right pulley.
Good luck!
Yea the car is in lock down mode. Something triggered the security system, and as a result, the computer engaged the ignition kill. Disconnecting the battery alone wont solve the problem. What I would suggest is call a local Chevy dealer and ask to talk to a technician, they know the procedure and can walk you throuogh it right over the phone.
No permanent solution, but you probably can get by once by "riding" the clutch engagement lever - pushing it only part way forward and holding onto it.
