I own a side by side black-n-stainless fridge and I bought a kit for the water/ice despenser, installed it as per instructions but not getting any water in the ice maker or out of the water. The water is on I double checked that. But I did discover there was already a water line that came with the fridge. I'm thinking that's my problem it's already connected in the fridge I just need to run it to the water supply. any suggestions.

Make sure the ice bin is pushed all the way in position. Also make sure you don't have a big clump of frozen ice blocking the auger and keeping it from working.

It is a good idea once in a while to take the ice bin out and completely wash and clean it out real good.

You have a supply voltage issue on your main board. This is located at the back of the refrigerator in a small compartment. You can get the part and replace it yourself, just make sure you un-plug the fridge before you start the project. It is pretty simple to do, so give it a shot.

I'm assuming that you have a water and ice dispenser in the door. OK, The simplest and quickest way to do this is to go to a home improvement store such as The Home Depot,and buy an water/ice maker tube installation kit. This kit includes: 15 feet of 1/4 tubing,the 2 brass fittings you'll need, and a water filter. Once you get this kit,there will be instructions on how to assemble the brass nut and ferrel fittings. Then you'll have to find the water valve on the back of the fridge,usually it's on the lower right hand corner if your'e facing the back of the fridge.If you don't see it,you may have to pull back the little cardboard tab to expose it. Now hook up the hose kit you just bought to the valve on the fridge and then hook up the other end of the hose to house water valve. Then turn on the water and you are ready to go. NOTE: If your house doesn't have a valve already,then you'll have to buy a kit that you install under your kitchen sink,this kit has a piercing valve that you connect to you cold water side copper 3/8 tubing. If you don't have copper tubing visible,then you'll have to buy a 3-way (T) and just install it under your sink.

Hold down the [ice make lock] and then the [lock] button simultaneously for 3 seconds. It took me a couple of attempts but I got there in the end (the manual mentions holding them down at the same time).

check your water supply is ok and replace your water filter if it has one this should solve you problem if not then its poss you have bad water solenoids but not likely. peyton

two things may have happened, first the o-ring washer on the pipe tap may have shrunk and restricting the flow of water, second the filter for the machine may be plugged up and need changing. good luck and if yoiu still need assistance feell free to ask againd

sounds like clogged water drain

in a side by side it is located in freezer section at bottom

in top freezer ref it is in freezer too but behind back cover


if either are iced over remove ice and pour sum really hot water down drain until u see it go down

look inside the despenser in the door and make sure that the flapper that when you get ice through the door is sealing off the shute.
if it is not sealing it off there is a kit for the problem
as far as defrosting the fridge you can use a hair drier and remove the frost, you will need some towells to get up the water

there is a despenser repair kit that NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED by sears for this problem it replaces some of the plasic with stainless steel plate it is held in place with double sided tape
once it is stuck the devil cannot get it back off, this is the fix

You may have a problem with the ice maker module, temps ok in the freezer and fridge, i would be looking for a ice maker problem first
