Kenmore ultra was dishwasher 665.15829 lock on light flashing. Read the literature about how to unlock, it didn't work. Have replaced the electronic control board, checked thermal fuse (OK), continuity check on heat element (OK), disconnected the heat element and connected 110 VAC directly to heat element and it heated up. Unit is about 10 years old and worked beautifully until the day it quit. It would cost about $500 to $700 to replace it. I have $150 invested right now. Jim Foster Katy, TX

If all of the components are reading ok then you need a timer. Touch your 2 leads together. 0 ohms rght. That means you have a complete circuit.If you get the 0 reading then the element must be otay. Bad timer. Take that fancy meater of yours and atttach one of them leads to the timer leg marked RH. Yank the wire off the terminal beore you test. Move the timer around. You should get the famous 0 reading along the way. If you don't then that means you have the bad timer.

unplug dryer, no take off bottom panel,use a screw driver or putty knife to remove,there are to clips on top of cover around 2 inches from edge,you'll feel them with tool,push in on them and clips will release, take out lint filter and take off blower wheel duct.clean out lint from duct,now on top of the blower wheel housing you'll see the thermal fuse,part number 3390719,take off one of the wires and read it out with meter,if it's bad change it out,if it's good,pull a wire off of heater and check that and read out the t-stats if you want but i would just change out the part that is bad.also vac out the dryer and go outside and make sure air is blowing flapper open,iblow the vent line out with a leaf blower if it's a long run,you won't believe all the stuff that blows out of there,hope this helps you

Pull one wire off the element and start the dryer in a heat cycle . Check power from that wire to the cabinet . Touch the meter to the terminal you pulled that wire off of , and check that voltage . You cannot get correct voltage by checking across the element . Trace the wire NOT getting 120 volts . It will either go to the timer or motor . It will lead you to the problem .
