Greenjeans, pull the dryer out and look behind it at the top panel. You'll see 6 screws, 3 in the panel, 3 going into the cabinet. Remove the 3 that go in the cabinet. Then slide the whole top panel back (away from the control panel) about an inch or so then lift it. Replacement is the opposite of removal.

Sorry, meant to add, if you switch the machine off at the mains once you've cleaned out the filter (bottom right corener, front of the machine, behind a plate), leave it for 2 or 3 hours and plug in again, sometimes it works.
Mine worked again the first three times, but I think this time it's had it and it's engineer and pcb time.

SOURCE: How is the top cover

Many are held in place only by spring clips and can be removed by strong fingernails or a dull knife pushed into the **** of the cover and lifted.

SOURCE: CMOS Battery dead, No Post, No System Beeps

bloody hell! All the ones I have used (IBM, Compaq and Dell) have clear access to the battery!

That sounds very frustrating!

My Solution, drop kick it out the window if you have to replace another!

How do I remove the back access cover on an Indesit WIE 167 washing machine to replace belt

Follow these procedures to remove the back access cover on an Indesit WIE 167 washing machine and replace the belt:

Disconnect the washer from the electrical outlet and turn off the water supply.

Move the washing machine away from the wall so that the back can be accessed.

Find the screws that secure the rear access cover. Often, they are positioned throughout the cover's perimeter.

Remove the screws using a screwdriver and store them in a secure location.

Carefully remove the washing machine's back access cover. Using a flat instrument, such as a putty knife or a scraper, to pull the cover away from the machine may be useful.

Once the cover is removed, the belt should be accessible. Remove the old belt from the machine with care.

Put the replacement belt on both the motor and drum pulleys.

Align the back access panel with the washing machine and secure the screws to reattach it.

Reconnect the washing machine and activate the water supply.

Verify that the replacement belt works properly by putting the washing machine through a series of tests.

When servicing a washing machine, it is essential to observe all safety precautions. If you are uncertain or uncomfortable with any of these processes, it may be better to call a skilled technician or service center for assistance.

Coolant screw cover removal

You need to push down on the cover to get it to turn past that last partial turn. It is a safety feature to keep caps from blowing off inadvertantly when hot when an inattentive person starts removing cover.

The bearing on our wil 133 1300 machine has gone and I can't get it out. The screw is too tight to undo, do I need to undo it, is it a left hand thread etc.? I've tried wd40 overnight, no...

Just use the hammer to knock on the head and then use a chip chisel to punch on the sides.
Once the screw moves from the tight postion it will be easy to remove.
You need to use a correct head screw head to remove. If this has a flat cross handle your will be able to remove easily.
