Hi, I have a Janome memory Craft Compulock 888. It turns on, but does not function. Can someone help me?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Cellphone category.

There is nothing in the manual about this error. You will need dealer service.

Why does the needle always stop down in the fabric?

I just took a look at your user's manual (I recommend you go to the Singer site and download it--it's free), and on page 20, it says that the top button of the set of three buttons above the needle shaft is the needle up/down button. If you press it when the machine is NOT sewing, it will reset it to stopping with the needle UP instead of DOWN. In other words, it resets the needle's default position, but you must do that when it isn't sewing anything.

Sounds like your machine needs an adjustment as it could have been knocked out of time.

Youtube has a few overlocker videos. Nothing identified as an 888 though.

Maybe this will help you.
