Two things to check and try although I'm not a washer repair man or know anything about certain models. >> 1-- To make the job a bit easier find a block of wood like a 2x4 or a 4x4, tilt the washer back and set the front of the washer up on the block or blocks.
Now take off the bottom front panel of the washer. There are a couple of screws at the very bottom that need to be removed. Then tap on the panel while pulling down and it will slide right off.
On the right hand side reach up inside the front panel to the latch assembly. Grab hold of the tab on the bottom of the latch assembly and your door will open.
If your door keeps getting stuck then you may need to replace the door latch assembly.
#2 ---1.Unplug machine
2.remove bottom panel
3.Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the bottom of the door latch assembly
4.Located on the bottom of the door latch assembly is a tear dropped shaped tab
5. Gently pull down on the tab about a 1/4 inch or until a click is heard.

Here are the steps to unlocking the door manually
1.Unplug machine
2.remove bottom panel
3.Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the botttom of the door latch assembly
4.Located on the bottom of the door latch assembly is a tear dropped shaped tab
5. Gently pull down on the tab about a 1/4 inch or until a click is heard.
6. You may now open the door.
This code means the door lock mechanism has failed or the central control unit has failed. Replace the door lock mech. first. This should fix the problem. (before replacing anything make sure there is no obstruction around the switch or in the switch.) After the machine has been unplugged it may fix itself. if not replace door lock mech.

happened to me once - I just unplugged the machine - waited a minute and plugged it back - it - then used cancel button
SOURCE: we keep getting a f11 and fdl code on our
"F11" is a Serial Communications error code. The following link explains:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r666194-f11_error_whirpool_duet_kenmore_elite
The "Fdl" error code indicates a problem with the door latch, which may be the reason why the door will not unlock.
Now...before assuming you have any failed components, try unplugging the unit for AT LEAST 30 minutes in an attempt to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). In many cases, these error codes are erroneous and can be reset in this manner. If the error code reappears following a CCU reset, then you have a legitimate problem.
Read through the link provided for pointers on how to troubleshoot the F11 error code. The two errors in conjunction with each other, usually indicates a failed CCU. The CCU controls the latching mechanism on the door. If the CCU is not communicating with the door latch correctly, the latch doesn't operate and you get the additional error code (Fdl).
You can trace the wires from the door latch to the CCU and unplug and reset them one at a time to make sure you have a good electrical connection as well. Do the same on the door latch end as well. To access, you simply need to remove the top panel of the washer. Remove the three screws in the back of the washer that holds the panel in place. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back and then lift off. The CCU is located directly behind the wash tub in the top center of the washer. NOTE: Make sure you UNPLUG the washer while doing this.
If you need to retrieve your clothes and the door remains locked, there is a manual release you can use to open the door. The following link explains:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r622155-kenmore_elite_whirlpool_duet_door_jammed
I know this may be a lot to read through. Try the CCU reset first. This is the easiest option and doesn't require you to remove anything. Hopefully, this will correct your problem(s).

SOURCE: Door locked on compact Whirlpool front-load washer
This worked for me. I turned off the washer and hit the area on the washer directly to the right of the door handle (not hard enough to break something or cause a dent). It popped right open.
SOURCE: Whirlpool Front Loading Door leaking water
The most common cause for a front loading washer to leak from the front door is a torn or detached gasket where that gasket attached to the machine.
Open the door and begin to pull the gasket away from the opening. Look for any problems. If you find a place where the gasket is not firmly secured to the opening, you can list that area up and glue (even with super glue) the gasket back down to the metal opening.
If you find gasket damage, it will need to be replaced.
Hello and welcome to FixYa
DL f is a door lock error and is caused due to an
issue with the door lock when it is unable to lock/unlock. Please check the
door lock mechanism/door switch assembly and replace the part that has gone bad
so that the issue is resolved. Please get back to me if you have any other
questions.
