Question about Grilling
I have an older Traeger Junior and when I start the grill on smoke all I hear is the auger. As the pellets fall into the firepot a small amount of smoke comes out but then the firepot begins to fill with pellets and eventually shuts itself off.
Sounds like a part failed. Call Traegger support at 1 (800) 872-3437

SOURCE: My pellet stove will start
You need to replace the auger motor. Go to fasco .com they may have one. Or enco.com I have a pellet stove and i have replaced both the auger motor and the motor that turns the hopper.

Sounds like it is leaning out, running out of fuel. That can be the strainer at the gas tank, any fuel filters it has. Disconnect the fuel line from the carb and see how good the flow is to it, and check for water. A new spark plug never hurts.

SOURCE: the auger is not turning
Have you recently changed the brand of pellets form what you have used in the past? If so, please understand that no two wood pellet manufacturers make their pellets the same way. If this is the case, you will have to retweak your stove to that brand of pellets you're now using. Also, check the auger to make sure it's not jammed and that auger shaft is properly fitted into the auger drive motor coupling..
Hope this helps solve your problem.

SOURCE: I have a small amount
You may have a small oil leak somewhere under the hood.Open the hood and look around for any cracked hose or a valve cover gasket leaks.

Testimonial: "thanks for your help, the mechanic we brought it to said the same thing. "
If you have the pellet box too full this will cause the auger to jam.
