Rainfly for Embark 4-person dome tent got lost and I am looking for replacement
Try manufacturer- online search
Testimonial: "The problem is that "Embark" is sold through Target, so it's a mystery manufacturer; even Target customer service doesn't have contact info. The phone number Target gave me was for a dog DNA company called "Embark", lol"
SOURCE: need a rainfly for Super Dome 111 tent. Where can I get one?
Is this the ESCORT Super Dome? If so, then it is a Canadian Tire store brand and you can ask at your local store if there are parts available. I doubt that there are, and at the probably price of getting one made, you could just buy a new tent.
If the old one was rectangular you could try making your own.
If the old one simply leaks, then you can try spraying the daylights out of it to re-waterproof it. UV degrades the DWC layer on the outside, and wear and tear, and stretching, degrade the underneath layer--the real waterproof layer. You really need to spray that if you want it waterproof.
Of course, for this tent you may be better off to replace it rather than buy 2 spray cans at $10-15 each for quality products.
SOURCE: Need to know how much for a replacement pole for a 9 person embark tent
a few dollars from an out door supply shop
The
first things to consider when you are buying a tent are size and budget. Figure
out how much you have to spend and then try and get the best quality tent you
can for that amount.
How
many people do you need your tent for?
A 2
person tent is actually quite cramped for 2 people and it might be better to
invest in a 4 person tent.
Speak
to people who have been camping and ask them how comfortable their tents were.
You
also need to consider issues such as the material the poles are made from
(aluminium is stronger), how big the rainfly is (this is the tent's umbrella) ,
vents, zippers and guy lines(these keep
your tent attached to the ground).
Go to a camping shop and get feedback on all these issues before you rush out and buy.
