Hi Diana-
I found this youtube video on replacing the belt and removing the deck on a Husqvarna riding mower.

I also found this link for your Husqvarna R120S owners manual (OM) which shows you how the drive belt is suppose to be placed on the mower deck.

Any debris on top of the deck e.g. thumb sized mulch, driveway stones, pencil diameter sticks or larger. All may cut and snap a belt if they get wedged between the belt and any of the pulleys.

Any hard foreign object of the size that will jamb into a pulley v groove.

Husqvarna R120S Articulating Riding Mower, 42-Inch. Main drive belt motor to the top pulley, any idea of the part number tried many belts they all get too loose after 5 minutes of use.

Question edited for clarity, full 'make model (what it is)'.

There should be some tensioning adjustment somewhere. The parts diagram doesn't show a sprung idler / tensioner, so I am thinking the adjustment is by moving the motor on a slider bracket.
