Hi,I have filled in the sectoin for an acount. Gumtree told me me they would send me an e mail to confirm the acount. But I have not received any mail yet?????

You will have to take it up with gumtree again.
or try to do the account again.

delete the whole mail account from the iphone, the re-add the account again with correct settings, make sure ssl is on. Try to check email on Edge, and Wifi and see if that makes a difference.

Hi knittique Sorry to hear you are having problems,
Are you getting any error messages when you check mail ?
I would certainly call your eMail hosting company, don't wait for them to call you back...
Sometimes, a mailbox can get corrupted.
One test you can do is to use this service:
http://www.mail2web.com/
you can see if your mailbox is still active and working.

actually there must be a spelling mistake in yahoo id which you have to send mails..... plz check it

Easy, its a configuration problem.
Go to Settings -Mail contacts calendar -
look for acounts and select the acount you want to send from.
Lets say gmail.
now again arrow right to the acount

outgoingh mail server should be SMTP, Use SSL, port server 465

And did Apple send you a mail, confirming it is your account? Or did you assume while setting up the account it would be yours?
I made the same error, An iCloud account is supposed to be connected to an existing e-mail address. Verify what I'm saing, special when you never could get into the account.

Before being able to send any email, I am getting Verification step. Why eveytime? It is irritating..

Yahoo updates privacy policy..Its normal smetyms..T may be dat you are using a shared network and mails from that Ip are numerous at dat time so they ask for verify.U CAN >Go to ur acount settings nd try to fill ol the spaces

Do not have e-mail page just for sending e-mails i write provider is comcast

my recomindation is to create a g-mail acount. I and many friens have been with them for a while and they are reliable and you can acsess it from any computer with internet.

Recieving Email

Hi,
Check your yahoo mail id properly. Go to the 'My account" page and confirm your mail id whether its yahoo.com or yahoo.co.in or yahoo.co.uk or whatever. Then try sending to the right mail id which will let you recieve mails.
