I have a toshiba satellite a105-s4114. Did a fresh install and can't get the SD card reader to show up. I have gone to the Toshiba website and installed what should be the correct drivers. For the Texas Instruments PCI Integrated FlashMedia Controller, I get an error "The required section was not found in the INF."

That error message basically means you do not have the right driver file or that the driver file is corrupt. The .inf file contains all the details to install the driver files, so it is really needed.

Try re-downloading the driver file from the website or a different website if possible.

If that does not work, you probably need to try a different model driver.

Hello,

INF error usually occurs if the inf file is missing or the auto run .inf extension file is missing. INF is used to load the auto run of the application that made it possible to be used to any specified application that serves its purpose. So therefore your SD card reader won't show up due to the face that its INF file that is responsible in loading it application is missing. So i recommend that you have to reinstall completely the driver of SD Card reader in order to be able to use the application.

Thanks

    Hello,

INF usually refers to an auto run loader of the application meaning to say if your application is set to have an auto running application set then INF is responsible of loading on the application. Now in your case, since INF file is missing that is why your SD Card reader won't able to find in your system cause the auto run loader of that application is missing that is why your application won't load. The main causes of the INF missing is corrupted files. So in order to run your application please reinstall the correct driver completely and make sure that you have the correct driver and complete driver. Otherwise the problem is still the same.

    Thanks
