The single most cause of no motor output is failure of the DC motor control. Look for any test lights on the power boards beneath the motor hood. Use caution when removing the motor hood because you may still have electricity ( capacitors are charged) in the motor area even if the treadmill is unplugged.
If you have a multimeter, you can test to make sure you have DC output from the controller spades ( Drive Motor Connectors) by clipping on them and then pressing the start key you should have a DC voltage reading if not the controller board is defective.
The motor can be tested by using a simple DC cordless drill or lantern battery this will turn the motor if the motor is good the controller board will need replacement , if not their won't be any belt moment the problem is the motor then the motor will need to be replaced. ( if you don' t have a multi meter this method of testing simple and easy)
Normally the button and reset is in FRONT from the machine is you stand from the machine in the lower part, Is RED and at the side is reset button.
2) Test the fuse inside see the block diagram , test and replace.
3) Test the power cord for open, break
4) test the outlet wall, reset the breaker from you house, DO not use any extension cord. and proof again.
5) If you can NOT resolve the problem, you must call to the service tech,.maybe you have problem with some component, inside capacitor, transformer in the power supply.

1) adjust the REED switch see the diagram attached. Clean it+ 2)test for open or faulty 3) tight the connector very well.
2) tight the upper and lower connectors very well and clean it.
3) inside from console tight the ribbon cable and clean it

SOURCE: Nordictrack Commercial 1500 treadmill w/working display BUT unresponsive buttons
Sounds like a cable harness is undone. The cable feeding the panel which has the computer inside (the power feed) is connected, but the cable from the panel back to the motorized parts isn't. The breakaway is a separate circuit that cuts all power to everything. These are my assumptions (I'm not a nordic track expert), but it's a pretty safe bet, likely the connector in the bottom section. Okay, I just looked it up, first Google "nordictrack 1500 manual" one of the first links is a PDF, with a complete parts breakdown. Depending on your specific model, it looks like there is a connector under the top panel where it meets the right post (and a couple of screws will let you lift it up to check it). It may be partially unplugged, check that first since it looks pretty easy to check.
But I think it's going to be in the bottom, in the bottom of the treadmill the wiring splits to different sections. The motor/incline controller cable (a separate cable #106 on one model I looked up, something like NTL09707 or similar) is probably the one that is either broken or unplugged. So although the computer (up top) is sending signals, they aren't reaching where they need to. Anyway, get that manual, and someone handy with screwdrivers and technology, and they should have it figured out quickly.
The
Steps for Newer Style Console Calibration
Locate the calibration area on the
rear or underside of the console (a hole, near the console's center,
that goes through to the electronics board. (This hole should not
have a screw in it.)
Insert a pencil (eraser end),
into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click
when pressed).
Press the button 2 times
(with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11
in the console, the second click should show CL21.
If the process was done correctly,
and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration
mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons
on the console and observing settings. This will not require
any other tools.
Press ENTER. CL22 should display
in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
Press ENTER. CL23 should display
in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
Press ENTER. CL24 should display
in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
Press ENTER. CL25 should
display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
Press ENTER. CL26 should
display in the TIME window. You should then see the
letter "E."
Press ENTER. You should see "SS"
or "55" in the console.
Push the STOP/START button. For
safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the
treadmill.
Push the ENTER button. The walking
belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on
its own.
When the belt stops, the
incline should self test by raising to its highest
incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest
position.
Once the incline test is complete,
push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the
console should go completely blank. If this happens, the
treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.
