Where does anti sway bar attract on 54 in craftsman riding lawn mower

Do not use gasoline with ethanol! Ethanol is attracting humidity which turns into water during storage.

The anti-sway bar fits into the frame. Then the sway bar then fits into the deck and connects with a washer and clip.

Every manufacturer calls them different names. i worked on trucks all my life and I would say stabilizer links or anti sway link. It is a Sears mower the model number should be under the hood kinda hidden on the side of the body. Google for a .pdf parts for that model.

Search for your model number on sears site. If 0 results, search google with your model number. Owners manual usually has diagram.

Please provide model number of mower.

you need to go to the sears parts website, or the craftsman website, and get yourself an owners manual. these generally can be downloaded for free. in the manual there will be directions for leveling
the deck. a google search may take you to a fee site, so go to the sears sites first. the thing was made by AYP so you can google that too in case sears and craftsman do not have free downloads.

Once you've straightened it - you've finished the hard part. Now take the end without the pin and stick it into the hole located on the transmission frame (the metal piece that the transmission sits on.) It is directly under the seat. The hole is on the front side of the tranny frame. Once you have it all the way in, take the pin end and put it through the mower deck brace (right side.) There is a hole there also for this end. If it doesn't go through enough to get the washer and pin through, push the mower deck towards the anti-sway bar. It should give a lot since the anti-sway bar is off. Once you fasten it, your'e done!

I only know this because it just happened to me today. I have the same mower as you, so I thought I would share.
