Follow the TE-10 restoration video. Clean, lubricate, grease, and replace any parts that are physically worn. Replace all o-rings that you find.

Disconnect the drill from Battery/Voltage supply. Spray little bit of WD-40 on the switch. Move the switch forward/backward few times to remove the dust/grime. Allow sufficient time to evaporate the WD-40, clean with a tissue paper area around the switch.
Now try with Battery or Power , the Forward/Reverse swithes.

There were several differant versions of the TM7. If it has a grey or blue fiberglass body then it would not have a reverse. If it has a red body then it would have a reverse lever right above the trigger.

With the palm of your hand over the chuck where the bit goes in take your fingers and pull the black sleeve right at the drill casing and pull towards your palm. After you have pulled it all the way back just pull the whole chuck off.

Yes it is reverse thread. The best thing to do if your chuck is coming off is to loctite it on.

Assuming that it's within 2 yrs old, you can phone Hilti re getting it fixed under warrenty. Hilti has a warranty that covers wear and tear on the tool body for 2 yrs (batteries for 1 yr) - hope you didn't already know this...
