SOURCE: Front Loading LG Washing Machine leaves smelly sludge in wash tub
This machine has a tub clean feature that you're supposed to run with bleach. I did this and it helped the smell s bit. Recently we had an error code and the repair man that came to fix it gave me some good tips. His experience has been that the smell is from too much soap causing build up in the seal and along the tub. His suggestion was to cut back on the amount of he detergent (he said a tablespoon is sufficient). His company recommends using a product called Whirlout (you can buy it at Home Depot). It was originally meant to clean scum out of hot tub jets. Apparently if you call LG they will recommend this product, but haven't bothered to suggest it in the owner's manual. I was told to put one to two capfuls directly into the tub (not the detergent bay) and run the tub clean cycle. I used it last night and it worked - no more musty, yucky smell!
SOURCE: LG front load washing machine water leaks with heavy loads
If your water is leaking with heavy loads, the first thing you want to check is the gasket (door boot) attached to the tub. Look for holes or rips in the bellows part(where the water settles) and around where it contacts the door. Any nicks or holes will cause leakage. Also, check the glass dome on the door towards the bottom. If it has dirt or hair buildup on it, it will leak with any pressure on the door.

Yes the system is cloghed. Pull the detergent drawer out and clean the drawers housing. try using some bleach. It allways helps.
BE ADVICED: after using bleach run quick wash cycle on without any load, it's just to get rid of all bleech remains and not to damage your clothes
Update me about your progress
SOURCE: Washing machine doors
Electrolux has a reversible door for both front load washer and dryer. Just found that out at HHGregg because we need to put our washer to the right of the dryer, and none of the other makes will allow the washer door swing to be switched.
