How do i reformat my asus k42n series but it didn't come with an installer

To speed up your computer/hard disk then you need to maintain your hard disk.
Hard disk maintenance should be carried once a month.
This removes redundant and temporary files, recovers disk space and speed up hard disk access.
Disk Cleanup should be done first - Click My Computer - then right click on the C drive then click Properties, then click Disk Cleanup - let it examine the C drive then it will calculate the amount of disk space it will recover, tick all the boxes to recover the maximum disk space and then Click OK and then Yes to perform these actions. If you have a D drive then repeat these steps on this drive too.

My 40 gb asus z99H keeps running out of space on hd i can't work out what to delete and what to get rid of in the windows update files.

Click Start
Click All Programs
Click Accessories
Click System Tools
Click Disk Cleanup

If you never intend to "uninstall" any of the individual Windows Updates,
then all of the (hidden) folders starting with '$ntuninstall' in the 'WINDOWS' folder can be deleted.

I was backing up my hp dv6000 laptop and it didnt finish backing up. Now I keep getting a message saying Driver D is low on disk space. I click on the message and delete what is there but I still have low...

Hello and thank you for using Fixya!

I included a link to Gateway (although you have an HP) but they seem to have a better way to handle this. Please see the article and instructions.

Where it says Gateway, just replace with HP. It walks you thru creating a restore disk as well, which is pretty similar to HP but of course references different software.

Hope this helps!

I need to change my default Download driver to the D drive as my C drive is always full, I've tried to move some of the programs from the C drive to the D drive but it says that some of the files may not...

Try the disk cleanup in the disk properties (right click the disk icon).
You can really free up a lot of space by deleting temp files, memory dump files and all restore point but the last. The last thing you only want to do if your system is running stable of course.
Also make sure to defrag after disk cleanup to maximize the efficient use of the free space.

My disk will not allow me to add doc. It says there is not enough free space. But I've only got a few docs on it.

Hello,
Insert it in a USB 2.0 port. Wait until computer recognizes it. Open the computer explorer (Click on My computer icon on desktop). Right click the SanDisk drive icon and select Properties. You should be able to see a pie chart of the contents of the drive (free space/used space). You will also see the total capacity.
It is not the number of documents that counts, but the total weight (number of MB of the lot). A single movie may occupy 4 GB of disk space.

Hope it helps.

Trying to install 2600 series all in one but error pops up saying not enough disk space

Was it ever installed? If no - them maybe you don't have enough disk space for the program and drives for this printer. (I assume XP) - click start - my computer - right click "c drive" - left click properties - is the circle mostly blue (used) or pink (free space). Free space need to be maybe at least 5- 25MB - defrag if not enough space. (If laptop - be sure it is plugged into power)
