I have a side by side Amana freezer/refrigerator. The refrigerator turned warm. The freezer has frost on a grate in the back of the freezer. Some water is dripping from the ice maker.
Yesterday I noticed refrigerator door was not completely shut. Everything seemed fine otherwise.
Is there any reason why I can't or shouldn't just melt the frost with a hair dryer and then turn the refrigerator back on again?
A similar problem happened 2 weeks ago. Unplugging and emptying the refrigerator for 24 hours fixed the problem. At that time the freezer door was not completely shut.
Amana model number is SRD25S5E.
