SOURCE: Pro-Form Sport 1000 treadmill does not stop inclining

Do a Calibration on the treadmill. Take out the safety key. With 2 fingers, hold down the stop button and the speed up or spped plus button. keep holding them down as you insert the safety key, then let go of both.
Press the stop button 1 time, you should see all 0's in the windows, or EP 2P or something weird like that.
Press the Incline up button and then wait. If the incline go up until it stalls then down until it stalls the stops at the bottom, the you are recalibrated, take out the safery key and put it back in to see if all is well. If the incline takes off up again without touching a button, the you have wiring problems or control problems. Call service company to get it repaired.

SOURCE: proform 360p stuck on incline

I had the exact same problem.

This usually happens if you switch it off at the mains while the incline is adjusting or is somewhere other than lowest. You should always make sure before finishing off, to lower everything.

Now for the solution: If you open up the case it has 5 or 6 black philips (cross head) screws (use your user manual if you don't have your original go to proform and find the support link and download the .PDF if your model is not available get the one before or after in the same model product line (model number is below the power input)).

Make sure you remove the power before opening the cover, obviously.

Anyway, once opened, you should find a sheet of paper wrapped around in some plastic wallet. On that paper it should explain everything. Try not to mess with too much things in the settings, otherwise you might mess it up badly.

Mine is something like: Hold the speed up (+) button and then while holding the button insert the key - that will get you to the service menu (obviously the power has to be connected).

Once in the menu pressing the incline up does a self-calibration (maximum up and maximum down) after that it should be perfect.

Remove the key any time to come out of that mode and resume normal operation.

I may not find this place for any more replies 'cos i only found this site by accident. While looking for info. on my burnt out motor model: PETL 3013.6 .... But i have come across someone selling a faulty one on ebay for like 5 quids... it's picking it up the trouble!

SOURCE: My Proform treadmill will not incline. It is stuck

Under the hood there should be a tech sheet with calibration instructions. I have not worked on these for several years or I would rattle off the procedure. If the sheet is still there make sure you put it back in the plastic sleeve for next time..... Eric

SOURCE: Treadmill incline error

Try this, it fixed it for me, if it doesn't work let me know
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIIxoPtvhy8

I bought a used Precor 9.4 treadmill, but the incline adjustment was not working.
So, I did the following.
1. Turn off, unplug the treadmill and wait for an hour (this is for safety
2. Remove the black motor cover
3. Observe the transformer to the right of the motor and towards the belt ( I point to it in the video)
This transformer converts DC electricity to AC electricity and the AC current goes directly to the Incline motor which is in the black box towards the front of the machine.
4. On mine the wires had come loose from the transformer, they were soldered on very poorly, the wires are stiff and you should be able to see 4 wires coming from the top of the circuit board and plugging into the transformer, I had three of the 4 wires loose.
5. If you are not comfortable working with electronics or soldering DO NOT DO THIS REPAIR, you could get shocked very badly if you just go poking around in there with metal objects, get a friend who knows how to solder or hire someone.

6. It took about 5 minutes I just heated up my $10 soldering gun from radio shack and soldered all the loose wires that were about a millimeter away from the tabs on the back of the transformer, and VOILA! The incline now works!

Sportsart treadmill error 7

ERR7 Definition: The display board main IC didn't receive the incline variable resistor (VR) value, or the value exceeds the set range. Explanation: The incline VR voltage changes as the incline motor operates, and the display board CPU uses the VR voltage to calculate the incline position. Without this value, the CPU cannot instruct the incline motor what to do, so ERR? appears. Or when the incline set is out of alignment, the VR value exceeds the set range.

The following is a list of possible solutions:

1. Incline Set a) Inspect whether the Incline ERR LED on the drive board lights. This LED indicates that the incline set has exceeded the range. b) Inspect whether the incline set mechanically exceeds range. On DC incline motors, at the 0% position, the line on the thin incline pipe will not align with the end of the thick pipe. On AC motors, at the 0% position, the red line will not appear even with the bottom of the incline window in the incline set. See Incline Troubleshooting Manual for details. c) Inspect whether the incline VR voltage exceeds the range: Put multimeter probes on the incline VR set blue and green wire connectors, while keeping the wires connected. Refer to Incline Troubleshooting Manual for the voltage range for your treadmill. If the incline range is exceeded, either mechanically or electronically, calibrate the incline set. Refer to the Incline Calibration in the Incline Troubleshooting Manual for directions. If the incline set cannot be calibrated electronically, replace the incline VA. If the incline set is stuck and cannot be unstuck, replace the whole incline set. 2. Drive Board Inspect incline voltage on the blue and green wires at the drive board. If voltage is within range, and ERRl appears, inspect drive board component connections and components for wear. 3. Ribbon Cable Inspect ribbon cable for breaks. Inspect connections at the display and drive boards. 4. Display Board Inspect IC connections. Push down to secure connections. Re-insert les.

The fuse for my Sportsart 3108 incline motor keeps blowing. I have replaced the fuse 3 times but as soon as I change the incline the fuse glows orange and burns out. Any idea what could be the cause ?

Be sure you're replacing the fuse with the manufacturer recommended rating, as not all fuses are the same, if that's correct, you may have an internal short with your machine, and should have it repaired by a professional technician, as this could become a fire hazard or cause additional damage.

Error 100 won't connect to network anymore to use ifit live

Check the power cord to ensure it is connected to the power supply and the treadmill if the power does not stay on or does not turn on. Look at the circuit breaker, located near the base of the unit, to see if the circuit was tripped. Push the switch back in to reset the circuit.

  • 2 Take the key out of the console, wait a minute and place it back in the console to resolve issues with the power turning on and off during use or if the console displays are not functioning properly.
  • 3 Remove the console key and press the "Stop" button to turn off the "Demo" mode, which is often the default setting when the treadmill is first purchased.
  • 4 Reset the incline by holding down the "Stop" and "Speed increase" buttons and putting in the console key. Release the buttons and then press the "Stop" button, followed by the down or up arrows for the incline. This step can be taken if errors are occurring with the incline function.
  • 5 Turn the treadmill "Off" and unplug the unit if errors continue. Wait five minutes and then plug the unit back on, insert the console key, and turn the treadmill "On." This will reset the treadmill and should return to normal funcTION

I was given a sportstart 3100hr treadmill in brand new condition. There wasn't a manual with it and I can't get the incline to work. When I press the incline button it makes the noise like it is...

I own the same treadmill and lost the incline as you describe. I toubleshooted(?) the condition and found that the nylon gear (28,81 or both) was stripped. I ordered a replacement for a few dollars and installed it. Work carefully and be prepared to get greasy as you will need to disassemble the elevation motor (item 30).
