Do you have an ice maker? If so the hose for the ice maker may be loose or damaged. CHeck and replace as needed. If not then you need to give more detail on the make and model of your unit.

SOURCE: Water line leaking

unscrew the back panel and look if the plastic hose for the water (on the left side, goes to the blue/red valve block) is broken. If it is then you can buy a silicon tube or hose in a hardware store which fits on both ends (measure the diameter) you also need to buy two metal rings with a screw (don't know the name of these) which you can put over the connection to tighten it. The old hose has become very brittle in my case and this solved the issue

SOURCE: WATER LEAKING IN BOTTOM OF REFRIGERATOR UNDER VEGETABLE KEEPER

This sounds like the problem I responded to for another user. I hope it works for you. I got this when the J-trap on the back of the fridge was blocked, not allowing condensation to properly drain into the drain pan.

I solved this problem by pulling the black drain tube off the J-trap (you may need to loosen the holding clamp at the bottom of the tube), giving the J-trap (it's about 2" round) a slight twist to release it from the sheet metal, and carefully pulling it out. Be careful as the sheet metal is sharp. You will see a 1" PVC tube end that fits inside the J-trap. This must be inside the trap when reassembling.

Flush out the J-trap and reassemble.

Why does my samsung fridge leak water under the fridge when I use my water dispensor?

hi Todd.
Problem: It's leaking water. ... Cause: A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes of water leakage. This happens when food particles or other debris clogs up the drain hose, which can lead to ice buildup and, eventually, water leakingout of the freezer and refrigerator.

There is a thick sticky black substance leaking from my refrigerator for the past two weeks on the left front side. Frigidaire model p/n 241543966

Hello Melanie;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service technician.

You do not have a refrigerant leak. Refrigerant is clear in color.

You have a water leak. The black sticky substance is either coming from your bottom condenser cooling coil or just general dirt under your refrigerator that accumulates over time. The coil under your refrigerator collects dirt as well.

You need to pull the refrigerator out so you can get behind it.
Unscrew the bottom back cover. Inspect for the water leak source. Your condensate drain pan may be leaking or dislodged.

The water line to your ice maker may be leaking.

Your water supply shut off valve to your refrigerator may be leaking.

Water leaking from under Frigidaire fridge

Hello - There are many reason for this issue to occur, for example the refrigerator could have a crack in the defrost pan, a defrost drain line blockage, a leak from the water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, but most cases water leaking inside and draining through the refrigerator cabinet. Try confirming that the vales are tightened. If the connection is still leaking, turn of the water supply line to the water valve and take the connection apart. You can try using Teflon tape when retightening the connection to ensure a good seal. If these suggestions prove to be ineffective contact a professional to move forward accurately.

Hi, I just found a leak in the back of the fridge from the green water line. Is it something I can fix easily or should I have an expert take a look?

If water appears to be leaking from the back of the refrigerator, check that the water line from the household water supply to the refrigerator is not damaged or cracked. Check all connections that are accessible such as the connection at the supply valve and the connection point of the supply tubing onto the back of the refrigerator. Check that the tubing is firmly inserted into all fittings and all fittings are tightened.

Leaking from under the door

On exterior dispenser models, if water appears to be leaking from under the refrigerator door, look and feel under the door to ensure the water connection to the dispenser is properly done. Firmly push the water tubes into the fitting.

NOTE: This connection was disconnected if the doors were removed during installation or if the door swing was reversed.

Auto defrost works fine except for water accumlating in the bottom of unit under the bottom trays instead of in the water tray by the compressor. [email protected]

There is a leak or damage of the pipe leading from the evaporator downwards. The defrosted water is leaking out of the tubing to the bottom, replace this tubing or check the leak on the collecting tray under the evaporator.
