It appears that Runco may use the same remote codes as NEC projectors. Maybe try a universal remote that has codes for NEC projectors.

SOURCE: Runco Cl 610 keeps shutting down

on the cl-610 it would shut down after about 5 minutes of running..as well as having to replace the customers bulb. so I took a look at the cooling system there are two fans which work fine, but there is a type of vent inside attached to the body of the projector it seems to have some back pressure if my words are right causing the fans to return the heated air back into the projector forcing the fast shutdown and lessening the life of the bulb. so as a test I removed the directional vent and I blew into it and most of the air came back rather that went out so I left it out and the projector has been running flawless for the last two days. might be time for a redesign on that directional vent cover. but check it for yourself first. if this has helpped please let me know.

Runco CL-710 cannot be turned on/off by remote control

There are several possible reasons why your Runco CL-710 projector might not be responding to the remote control. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Make sure that the remote control is properly paired with the projector. Consult the projector's manual for instructions on how to pair the remote control.
  2. Check the batteries in the remote control. If the batteries are low or dead, the remote control may not function properly.
  3. Make sure that there are no obstructions between the remote control and the projector. The remote control uses infrared (IR) signals to communicate with the projector, and these signals can be blocked by objects such as walls or furniture.
  4. Try using a different remote control to see if the problem is with the remote or with the projector.
  5. If none of these steps help, there may be an issue with the projector itself. In this case, you may need to contact Runco customer support for assistance.
I hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Runco cl-610 projector

Likely the fan blades are dirty and out of balance. If this projector is in a dusty or smoky place you will need to clean them (or have them cleaned by a tech) often. If you are not good with electronics, I suggest taking it to a dealer. If you can get the covers off properly, you will need use a can of compressed air to carefully blow out the projector and fan blades.

I have a Runco CL-810 projector, how do you clean the fan filter?

Filter will be located near the intake fan. You can remove it and clean it. Normally just blow out the dust. If it is oily you can use dish soap be sure it is fully dried before replacement. The fans you can blow out (with machine off) Be sure not to spin them too fast or the bearings will be destroyed.

My Runco CL-410 projector runs for about 30-45 seconds, then the lamp turns off. The hour meter says it has 471 hours on it. Any ideas?

Look inside the lamp. If you look into it if you see any white build up at its base, replace it. Need help, let me know.

Unit not powering up. New lamp installed but

a couple of things did you reset the lamp timer? Sometimes if the panel door lamp is open or not closed you will not be able to power up. Have you tried removing the lamp and reseating it? Perhaps the fuse is blown...you will need to remove the cover and look to see. fuse should be located in the area of where you plug the power cord again you will need to remove the power cord.

Need to adjust from full screen to wide screen on Runco SC3050

You need to use the remote, press the Menu button... on the menu that pops up on the screen, use the remote to scroll down to where it says "aspect ratio", and then select enter.

From that menu, you can select all the different aspect ratios that your Runco can perform.

Here is a link for the owners manual, straight from Runco.

Projector problem

I have a great deal of experience with that projector in particular.
The burning smell along with the circle on the screen can be one of two thing in the same general area. Both are not good.
The lamp assembly has its own dedicated cooling fans. these fans can sometimes **** in dust and insects. the lamp runs at a very high temperature and can burn those things quickly. I have often found old lamps with particles fused to the glass.
The other situation is that the lamp burned something and it got stuck to the glass somewhere in the light path.
if I remember right the projector monitors the temprature of the bulb and will shutdown if it gets too hot.
Runco is based in california and has a great turn around time on projectors. Unfortunately with Runco you would be hard pressed to find a technician that wouldn't just send it to them for repairs anyways. The major down side with Runco is that customers cannot talk directly to engineers or service men.
Locate a Runco authorized retailer in your area, check runcoes site. and give them a call to see if they cant send it to runco for you. if you cannot find one in your area call Roscor or Blair & Associates in Chicago.
