The headlights do not come on either. what do i check after checking that the battery is charged?
My X320 has a starter relay before the solenoid. solenoid works fine. The starter works fine at the relay is where the power goes in that doesn't come out. It is clicking there...This relay is not in the schematics. I was given...so good luck finding things....like the guy said, just gotta find it.GOOD LUCK??
Power to the hour meter comes from the key switch. Same source that powers start circuitry so likely not a fuse, but check all 4 fuses.
If all fuses good then likely a loose connection or bad key switch.
Check electrical connector at back of the key switch. Follow the yellow wire that goes to the hour meter. Make sure the wire or wires haven't moved out of the connector housing at the key switch.
The schematic shows a multipoint splice for the yellow wire. Not sure where that is. It also shows a second yellow wire... you just have to figure it out.
Its likely a bad connection from B+to ground if your sure the battery is charged .But you say no start and no head lights witch means no power to anything because their separate systems. It sounds like a bad ground neg - from bat to frame or connection battery + or - cables.

check the large relay in the fuse box and push it down it works a number things

There's a fuse under the hood. It's the relay/ABS fuse (20 amps). You have to pull it out to see if it's blown out. If I remeber correctly, it,s the 3rd or 4th fuse down in the 2nd column of fuses. This supplies power to the relays that control the starter, fuel system, AC, and others.

Try cleaning the battery connectors at both ends and make sure the ground at the frame is clear of rust. If that check out, drop the starter and have it bench tested

check your battery for cold crank AMPS if battery is fine check positiv cabel from battery to alternator they are common problem on this vehicles

It could be the starter, test the small wire going to the starter, it should have power when turning the key to start/crank. If it does, and the starter will not crank the engine, whack it with a hammer, if it then starts, replace the starter. If there is no power to the starter, then it could be the ignition switch, or the neutral switch, or a fuse/link blown.
