How do I stop my Stairmaster 4100PT from stopping the work out at 20 and 5 minutes into them, even though I select 60 minutes?

My Stairmaster 4100PT stops the workouts at 20 and 5 minutes even though I select 60 minutes work outs. Any idea on how to discover the part that might have failed? The console? The power supply? Thanks.

Actually the problem was caused by a bad 470uf cap, that was used to filter the powersupply for all the analog amps. Replaced the cap the unit works like new.

Check all connections from power source in inside the cover where alternator is to upper display then if the problem still continues I suspect your upper console is going south. Call National Gym Supply @ 1-800-496-7278 they can either repair it or may have a exchange board for you.

SOURCE: Freecom Classic SL hard drive stopped working

Probable reason for failure of a disk is power, if the power is adequate may be some of its components like inductor, diodes in series with the power line are opened, check for any burn marks on the pcb

I changed out a chain and spring on my stairmaster 4100pt. Now the unit will not turn on. Is there a reset button somewhere?

You may consider retracing your steps to see if, while removing and then installing those components, a wire(s) didn't get bumped loose
