Firstly, this issue requires the cleaning of the ink absorber and still if it displays the Ink Absorber full message, replace the component.

1) After you unplug the power cord and insert it back, the printer will perform an auto-clean.

2) When you clear a paper jam, the printer cleans automatically before you receive the next print out.

3) If you keep the printer idle for 30 days, it cleans itself the moment you power it on.

4) If you have replaced the ink cartridge of the same color for more than 12 times, then the printer performs an automatic cleaning.

If you are replacing the ink absorber, get it done by a service technician and buy an original one.

To clear the inkabsorbernearfull err! On the/my BROTHER DCP-J525W you do the same as this method but go to FLUSH instead of PURGE then type the 2,7,8,3 sequence.

CAUTION; Only do this if you know the consequences of having an overflowing tank.
My tank has been removed and is now externally collected as in the image.ee63a71c-73e2-4af7-a89e-23485ceed7e6.jpg

How to replace ink cartridge Brother MFCJ415W

It's a fairly straightforward process to replace the ink cartridge on the Brother MFC-J415W. All you need to do is open the ink cartridge cover, remove the color that you're replacing, and put in the new cartridge. Before putting in the new cartridge, however, you must turn the green knob on the yellow cap clockwise until it clicks. Then you put it in the printer and you should be good to go.
