SOURCE: Sub-Zero 550

Hi!

I had the same problem with my 550...several times the tech came out and used a steam machine to blow out the drain...which didn't solve the problem. Finally, they ordered a refrigerator drain heater from sub-zero (part#4201290) and this finally fixed the problem. Hope this helps...I'm not a tech, just a customer. K

SOURCE: how remove the rear inside door panel on a 2001 oldmobile aurora

The inner door panel is held in by clips and screw.
Look at the door near the door handle there should be screws holding it in and along the outer edge of the door. Once loose, and the door handle removed or the arm rest removed. The door panel then prys out , because of the clips that hold it on. Then pops out by applying pressure to the panel upward to the top of the door. The clips always break because of the design and plastic.

Good luck

SOURCE: edge 491 exercise bike monitor panel dead

http://www.academy.com/images/pdf/Fitness_Quest/Edge_Recumbent_Bike_491r.pdf

Mine went dead last Spring. I ordered a replacement part from Fitness Quest. I think the link is above. Actually, while I was waiting for the part, I reconnected all the wires on the whole bike and the panel worked. So I actually have an extra new working panel if Fitness Quest doesn't have the part for some reason and u want mine. Double check ALL the connections of the wires first. They come loose easily.

How to repair a lg dryer dlex3470v

See the groove on the edge where the gasket fits onto the door? As you peel away the gasket, you'll see how you need to thread the gasket onto the door flange so that the gasket will fit properly.

Use a silicone-based spray on lube to help it slide back on. Start at the top & work your way around the edge pressing the gasket groove onto the metal as you go. You might not even need a new gasket unless it is damaged.

the refrigerator gasket is $91.60
The freezer door gasket is $72.95

If the unit is working good it might be worth it to replace the gaskets if unit is in good shape and you only need one of the 2 gaskets I would replace it. if needs both you need to see what a replacement unit costs and make a decision

The door on my machine won't shut?

Hello

You will need to adjust the dishwasher door latch to fix the door if it will not close. The door latch can come out of alignment from use. Adjusting the latch assembly is a straight forward process on most models of dishwashers. First, remove the securing fasteners for the inner door panel. It is a good idea not to remove the inner door panel completely, just enough that you can access the door latch assembly.

Turn the dishwasher circuit breaker off inside your home electrical panel. Open and close the door and watch where the strike plate makes contact with the door. The strike plate is usually on the front top center of the dishwasher. If the strike plate is out of alignment, it will hit the inside of the door.

Pull the dishwasher out of the counter enough that you can access the strike plate securing Torx screw. You may need to open your dishwasher door and remove the two screws that secure the dishwasher mounting bracket to the bottom of the counter with a Phillips-head screwdriver to pull the dishwasher away from the counter.

Loosen the Torx screw that secures the strike plate to the washer tub with a Torx driver. Adjust the strike plate so the plate will engage the door latch. Retighten the Torx screw and push the dishwasher back under the counter. Secure the brackets to the counter if your dishwasher uses retaining brackets.

Adjust Door Latch

Open the dishwasher door and remove the Torx screws securing the inner door panel to the outer door panel with a Torx driver. The retaining screws are usually around the side edge and top edge of the dishwasher door.

Lift the inner door panel enough that you can loosen the two securing bolts on the door latch with a wrench. You only need to loosen the bolts, not remove them.

Carefully raise the dishwasher door to align the door latch with the strike plate. Hold the door latch with your finger tips when you align the latch. Lower the door and tighten the door latch securing bolts.

Install the inner door panel retaining screws and tighten all screws with the Torx driver. Close the dishwasher door and turn on the circuit breaker.

Water dripping inside refigerator

Hello,

Move the refrigerator out from the wall and look for the location of the leak.

Step 2
Check the side panels and the seals around the door for beads of "sweat." This could indicate a condensation problem.

Step 3
Check the floor. A puddle there could indicate a missing or cracked drip pan, or a leak in the water line that feeds your ice maker.

Step 4
Check for water seeping from the front of the freezer or the refrigerator. This could indicate your defrost drain is plugged or your ice maker is leaking.

Fixing a condensation problem
Step 1
Check that the doors shut correctly. Hold each door about halfway open, then let go. If the doors don't shut completely, adjust the screw legs on the front of the refrigerator so the unit tilts back a bit. With adjustable pliers, turn each leg one revolution clockwise. Recheck the doors and, if necessary, repeat the process until they shut securely.

Step 2
Inspect the door gaskets. Look for debris that may keep the doors from shutting. Also check for cracks or gaps in the gaskets that could allow the cold air to seep out. If you find debris, clean the gaskets with warm, soapy water. If you find cracks or gaps, you'll need to replace the gaskets (see How to Fix a Refrigerator That Cools Poorly).

Step 3
If your refrigerator is equipped with a door-frame heater that evaporates condensation, make sure the heater is turned on. The switch should be located with your other refrigerator controls

Hope this helpout.......

Need freezer door internal access

IF it is possible for you to perform this refrigerator repair, it will depend on one thing, whether or not you have screws located underneath your door gasket. Open your freezer door, and grab the inner side of the gasket, away from the door edge, and peel the gasket back, towards the edge of the door. If you have several screws down the length of the door, you can remove the gasket and door liner, and the fiberglass insulation, but you wont be able to remove the foam insulation. If you only have a couple of screws or none at all, you have what they call a foamed in liner and gasket, and disassembly, and more importantly, reassembly, is extremely difficult, moreso for a DIYer.

How to change the door gasket o a GE Profile French door refrigerator. The clip at the top is broken and it is part of the gasket. Not a very robust design.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT USE TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON THE DOOR LINER, AS IT IS FRAGILE, AND HARD TO GET AND DIFFICULT TO INSTALL. JUST WORK YOUR WAY AROUND WITH GASKET SLOWLY, AND ONCE IT IS SECURED THEN CAREFULLY USE A HAIR DRYER TO REMOVE ALL CREASES AND ROUGH CONTACT EDGES ON GASKET AND LIGHTLY SECURE THE GASKET AS THE LINER IS PLASTIC/PVC. IF UNSURE GET A PROFESSIONAL TO INSTALL.

Change out refrigerator door gasket

Hello D Lassiter, You can do this repair yourself with just some basic tools and a little patience and assistance.

You'll need to remove all food from the fridge as it will take at least 45 minutes or longer, depending on how well you do.

If you roll back the door gasket, you'll see the fasteners that hold the gasket in place. Remove these starting with the ones on the bottom edge and then the sides. Finally, remove the top ones, leaving the two top corners for last, that way you can have someone help hold the door liner, so it doesn't drop to the floor and get damaged.

I would also suggest that a day or so before you're going to do the repair, that you let the new gasket lay out on a floor somewhere where it can't get damaged so it will relax and get most of the kinks out of it from shipping, etc.

Then simply put the gasket onto the door liner and reinstall all the screws back onto the door frame.
There are some models (you didn't provide a brand or model number to zero in on the exact version you have) that have the door gaskets glued onto the door frame. On this types, you'll have to use either a plastic or metal putty knive to gently run around the entire edges of the door, between the gasket and the door frame, to get it to come off.

Then you'll need to have someone help you reinstall the new one, as you'll have to reglue the gasket onto the door frame. This will require some non-marring clamps (about 4-6) to hold the inner door panel and gasket onto the outer metal door frame, while the glue dries. Typically, this is done with the fridge door removed from the fridge and takes at least a day once it's installed to glue in it place and fully cure.

In either case, please go to the link below and enter in the model number of your fridge so you can see which type you have and get a line drawing that shows the replacement parts you'll need. You can order them anywhere you wish, it's just very convienent that Sears provides the info for just about all brands of appliances made.

You can find your gasket part at www.searspartsdirect.com by entering in your model number for your unit and looking at the drawings and parts list provided.

You might have to look under the inner door panel edge, hence the reason to look at the middle section or corners to make this a bit easier to do. You might have to remove the inner door panel from the gasket first, in order to get at the screws that hold the gasket onto the metal door frame.

Don't pull on the inner door panel too much, as you really don't want to crack or break it, since your goal is to only remove and replace the gasket. Take your time and you should be able to get it off and replaced.

Of course, don't remove this until you've got the new one available and then allow plenty of time to do the job, which means getting the fridge and freezer emptied completely, so have plenty of coolers available with lots of ice!

I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
Merry Christmas!

Ice

it is getting moisture from the refrigerator side.

check closely the door gasket of the refrigerator side, look for cracks and openings and see if it is not sealing properly.

another place to look at is the plastic trimmings around the refrigerator side between teh inner wall and the outside edges.

sometimes they have cracks and openings and moisture could seeped in and makes ice at the lower part of the freezer section.
