I can hear the arm rotating to move the ice through the chute however it is not producing any ice

The description says you have an LG fridge? I may need the entire model # from the sticker inside the fridge to tell for sure, but there is a motor behind the dispenser controls that opens the door. remove the bottom tray that you sit your glass on, push down on the bottom of the trim arround the despenser, lift outward then upward on the trim panel, have a piece of duct tape handy to tape the panel out of your way to gain access to the assembly

the actuating paddle that you are depressing to dispense ice actually pushes the door open at the top of the dispensor, soundsas if thered an issue withthe actuator arm

on the right hand side of the door chute there is a little metal barrel that needs to be attached to the end of the arm that holds the ice door. this is attached to the spring that opens and closes the door chute.
