I cannot install my wireless printer as its says Unibrain 1394 does not have a driver

click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red X or a yellow exclamation or question mark you will need to update or install the driver

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to network adapters should see a yellow question mark right click install drivers

the driver might be on the disc supplied by your ISP internet service provider
if you dont have the driver you will need to download one

Can't connect to Internet after re-installing Windiws XP

You need a wireless adapter or an ethernet adapter - 1394 is firewire and used for connecting to video cameras and the like NOT for wireless I suspect you will see some yellow ? or ! in device manager - and/or under network adapters goto this site and download the network adapters http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp select your model I have a link here directly to the drivers http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=713840&rpn=PTM20U&modelFilter=M2-S730&selCategory=3&selFamily=1073768664 I would suggest as you have re-installed XP - you may want to also download other drivers which may be needed on the laptop

Look at this thread here. Although in this example someone bridged the wireless connection, all you have to do is follow netizen's advice and fix your Local Area Connection.

General Networking question

lets see here, your NVIDIA thing is for your ethernet port in your computer.

the wireless PCI adapter, is well, a wireless adapter, its used to connect your wireless, and a 1394 Net Adaptor Connection is basically Win2k/XP's way of telling you that you have a Firewire interface installed in your system.

so, if your going wireless, you dont need NVIDIA, and as your device manager shows that it has a red x on it, it shows that its disabled. as for everything else, i wouldent worry about it.
