Repair broken wire on Maxi-Cosi 2wayfix base.

I have a Maxi-Cosi 2wayfix base and the wire connected to the yellow isofix connector has broken. Thus it won't detect the isofix has successfully connected and shows red instead of green. Is it possible to access this to repair?

Maxi Cosi Cabrio ISOFix Base Stuck In Car

What vehicle is this stuck in? On some vehicles, with a bit of feeling around, you can sometimes access the mount rail from inside the trunk. You might be able to hook the latch with a blunt, flat blade screwdriver enough to release it.

Does maxi cosi cabriofix easy base require anything to be removed from it before fixing it? we cant find where the button is that fixes it to the seat

Hi

Can you clarify - what button are you looking for?

The EasyFix base is fitted into the vehicle using the IsoFix points OR the 3 point seabelt. (Never both) The carseat then clicks onto the base and the metal rods on the underside of the CabrioFix carseat are grabbed by clamps on the base.

Hi, I just installed the isofix base Maxi cosy isofix without the yellow adapter. Know I am worried this could be a problem without using the, Does all users have these on? Is it necessary?

Hi - The yellow plastic guides are only for your conveniance if you need them. Some cars have very prominant IsoFix points and you do not need to use the guides - this is fine. As long as the indicators go green to show correct fitting it is fine.

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix can be fitted using the EasyFix base (IsoFix or seatbelt fitted) the EasyBase and EasyBase 2 (fitted with seatbelt only) or the FamilyFix base (IsoFix only). If you do not have IsoFix points you need either an EasyBase or EasyBase 2 to be fitted with seatbelt.

The yellow anchor points that attach to the car fittings and then the isofix base fits on to them. where can I get 2 more

Hi,

If you mean the plastic caps that click onto the isofix points in the car, then you can buy these on eBay, just search for ISOFIX GUIDERS.

I hope this helps.

What's the difference between Easybase (non isofix) and Easyfix base (isofix)? can I use the second one for both maxi cosi cabriofix and car seat up to 3.5 year?

Hi,

The Easy Fix Base is used for cars which have isofix points in their car. The Easy Base fits into your car using the seatbelt.
Both of these bases can be used ONLY for the CabrioFix Carseat and cannot be used for the next stage seat (Group 1).

I hope this helps.

Lost one of the yellow connectors for isofix for Maxi-Cosi Priori

The 'Isofix guides' are available to buy from Dorel UK LTD (01842 767965) (See maxicosi website/customer services) for £7.99+P&P @ £3.99.

When I called (as one of mine is broken) they told me they are not essential to fit the car seat safely - they are simply 'guides' and if the actual forks on the seat are not damaged in anyway; not having the guides will not affect the car seat performance in any way.

Kindest regards
