the problem may be the defrost timer that controls the heating element that removes built up ice in the freezer. Remove the panel at the bottom of the refrig. by pulling out on either side there are compression clips that hold the panel on. the drain pan should lift up and out. Look for the small defrost timer at the same time.

I actually found a phone number in the back of my files that I had used to order parts in 2000. The number is 800-233-9054. I was told by the company that the bread machine is no longer being made and once parts inventory in their warehouse is depleted, they will no longer be available.

You have a clogged defrost drain tube, beneath the freezer evaporator (remove the back wall of the freezer compartment) there is a drip tray with a hole in it, the hole leads to the defrost drain tube- take a turkey baster and flush the drain with warm water until you hear it pour into the pan beneath the machine... Put a smaller pan inside the other pan but you must be sure the drain hose end is
placed INSIDE the new pan

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

drain pans are no longer removable. to clean. can remove back panel or btm frt kickplate and look for pan. spray lysol down their and clean out the coils.the only reason it should smell is if anything spoiled in ref. and got into drain system. you can try and vacumm up whats in the pan but you will have little room. unplug ref from wall before you go poking around.

General Elec. refrig. about 12 yrs. old. water in bottom of frig., cleaned up, found water a second time.

drain is cloged. at some point the ref section was set too cold. the defrost water from freezer drains through the ref back wall. becaust it was set too cold the drain froze. two ways to fix .... empty unit and unplug for 24 hrs. OR remove back panel, defrost drainrail, remove bottom panel ,remove ice, insert 1/4 inch tube down drain, and squirt very hot water down drain till it is clear of ice..... when defrosted set ref on "3"

WATER DRIPPING FROM TOP OF REFRIGS MAIN COMPARTMENT

The drain is clogged.

This water should be going down the drain to a pan under the ref.

The drain starts under the cooling coils in the freezer but can be clogged anywhere. Some models will have access in the main ref in the top - rear, a small cover can be removed. Some will have access on the back of the ref. you can see the drain tube and an elbow where it come out of the ref. remove the elbow and check for clogs.

there is a drip pan located underneath you ref but most likely your prob is a plugged drain line coming from the freezer. when you ref goes into automatic def the water doesnt run out into the drip pan but instead onto your floor..

you can clean the drain line by removing the rear cover in the freezer compartment and using hot water to thaw the drain below the evap coil.
