Their is a SAE formula for Torque values dependent on bolt diameter, threads per in. and bolt grade indicated by the number of lines on the head of the bolt.....3 lines grade 5....6 lines grade 8....metric bolts will have a # decimal point and #......You may can google it...otherwise consult Machinist Hand book..........
