All routers can be logged into if you have a Browser & type in the IP address in the URL box (default or new) (e.g. 192.168.1.1) and use the default username & password. Often Admin , Admin

Restoring it to default factory settings will not remove the pin. This is a safety feature to prevent people who steal them being able to use them. You may still be able to get by it though. 1234 is the new master code, 4112 is the installer code to get into programming. If you defaulted the panel, all previous zone programming is lost as well as reporting methods and types for those zones. Basically it's set back to the way it came out of the box!
What type of panel is it? Do you have the manuals?
Access Control Panel; goto system information and check to see if a driver is installed for your cd rom. If not, try installing using the "add hardware" feature of Control Panel. Also make sure the cd rom drive has the power and IDE cable properly installed.
Install the software first, then connect the printer. Once all drivers are installed go to start, settings, printers. Find the printer, right mouse click on it and choose "set as default printer", that's it.
