I believe the frequency coincides with the defrost cycles. I suspect that the drain tube or channel is clogged. So, I opened the inside panels to investigate, inserted a nylon coated steel cable into the drain hole. I pushed the cable as far as I could, probably 4-5 feet into the channel. The cable seemed to meet a solid end and could not go any further. I repeated this exercise for 2-3 times. Then, I slowly pour some water into the drain hole. After about a quarter cup of water, the water overflowed. Due to the weight and size of this fridge, I have not investigated the back of the fridge, yet. Removing the bottom drawer appears to be a very difficult task also. I plan to search and gather as much information as possible before attempting to pursue further. I watched an online video regarding a Whirlpool fridge. At the back of the fridge, the owner was showing a rubber grommet fitted on the end of the drain tube. The grommet has a very narrow slit opening, similar to a duckbill. It appears that small debris can build up and block the funnel end easily. I have some questions for the experts here: 1 Does the BOSCH fridge drain tube have a p-trap? 2 Do the BOSCH fridges also built with a similar grommet at the end of the drain tube above the drain tray? Thanks!
Freezer /fridge leaking water/ice frozen in fridge and or freezer, or leaks on floor
Usually due to CONDENSATION due to bad door seals or a plugged evaporator drain line? Can use a soft flexable tubing and very hot water to clean it out. Bad door seals usually need replacement, but u can use a blow dryer and something to pry it closer to the door wall while blowing hot air on to it. To create a seal, to test for bad door seals place a dollar bill in between the door and wall of fridge where it closes. Then slide out the dollar bill with door closed. It should offer some resistance and not be easy to pull out.
Fix any gaps in the door seal.Pack out the seal underneath the areas where the door seal has the gaps. This can be done with a small strip of weather stripping, as shown here, or a bit of tightly rolled up paper under the door seal. Alternatively, you can heat the door seal up with a hair dryer to fix the gaps. This softens the door seal and allows you to stretch it.
Most all fridges have a drain. Look inside your fridge for a "V" shaped channel with a small hole. This hole leads to a tube and a small pan which sits on top of your refrigerator's compressor. The defrost cycle causes water to run into the channel, down the tube, and then it generally evaporates with the heat of the hot condenser/compressor.
However, if that tube is clogged with food crumbs, particles , debris etc, you will have to clear it to get back to a normal mode of operation. A toothpick, pipecleaner, straw or a cotton bud can often do the trick. Another trick one can use is to connect a copper tube wire with one end going into the drain hole then attach the other end to the heater wrap it around heater a few times. That will take care of the drain problem when it comes to ice build up but not food build up.
Even a frost free freezer will still ice up at times in the areas away from the heated defrost area and the drain line can freeze. This icing causes the pipe work to the compressor to ice over or sweat and cause a puddle. Or if the drainage has frozen over, it will need to be de-iced. ( usually the line is under the freezer bottom plate covering. Towards the back of the unit) And there is another inside the fridge area also.
Give the freezer a good overnight defrost until it's totally clear of ice in addition to making sure the drain is clear to the pan at the back and then restart the freezer.

OTHER THINGS TO CHECK ARE THE DEFROST TERMINATOR AND THE HEATER ELEMENT FOR COBNTINUITY.
Unclogging Frost Free Refrigerator Condensate Drain Refrigeration System Basics Chapter 1 How to Unclog Refrigerator Drain Line
SOURCE: cannot open the bottom freezer door anymore; it seems stuck
sounds as though the defrost system has failed or the freezer defrost drain is blocked. take off the back panel of the freezer and see if excess ice build up. if so, defrost carefully with a hairdryer. at bottom is a drain. check if blocked with ice and if so melt off with hot water till water flows away freely. if i'm right, appliance will start to work. if fault re-occure then defrost system is at fault

the drain tube is clogged or maybe frozen, remove the restriction and you will have no more problem

My fridge (E440T but I believe the E522B is similar) had a broken fan wire and i had to pull off the rear panel and re-solder a wire. I created a document for others to follow that shows the rear panel removal if interested at http://www.accentis.com.au/downloads/misc/How I fixed my Fisher and Paykel Fridge Active Smart Fridge.pdf
Thanks to all postings on this site - it really helped a lot.

There is a kit available, WR2X9393 which includes an aluminm heat probe which you attach to the heater to prevent icing of the drain

I have the same problem, warranty just ran out but its been
leaking on and off for ages, must be this model. This much Ive figured out, what
happens is the drain hole gets blocked from ice freezing over the hole at the
back of freezer, the drain water has to go somewhere, since it cant leak out of
the drain hole where it suppose to it ends up pooling under the vege
compartment before ending up on the kitchen floor. Now if this is your only
problem, someone suggested to me to run a piece of copper wire from the
defrost heater to the drain hole so no ice can build up there, hence no more
leakage. To do this you'll have to take the back panel off and see for
yourself,I did this and Im a novice.Make sure you turn off and unplug the
fridge first and wait for it to defrost.
Now I think I have other things wrong with mine, after leakage problem the
refrigeration compartment wont cool anymore but the freezer part remains
working as usual.Ive nailed this down to one of the following not working...
Thermostat / timer / defrost heater. So one or more of these needs replacing.Im
just trying to look for a manual which shows the nuts and bolts or the
refrigerator (not the "How to use" type manual which I have).
