How do I separate the fuel tank from a Troy bilt 7550 model 01925 from the rest of the generator?

SOURCE: My troy-Bilt 5550 watt generator will not start

First drain the fuel bowl. Any old fuel in there will keep it from starting. Fuel stabilizer is not what it's it cracked up to be. I've worked for 6yrs at a rental yard and had no luck with any fuel stabilizer, the fuel still went bad. If after you drain the fuel bowl it still will not start, you will need to clean the carb. Remove the carb and spray carb cleaner through all the accessible passages. If this does not do it, you will need to replace the carb. For long term storage I highly recommend draining all the fuel and filling just the carb with fuel stabilizer to keep gaskets moist. Then drain the carb when you take it out of storage.

I have a Troy bilt 7800 13500 generator. It has maybe 40 hrs on it. And It stopped working. I took it into a shop to have it fixed. Repair cost would be $1000.00 I paid 1200 for it. Shop said the 3 main parts of the generator were fried. The Generator was bought in 2005 and only like 40 hrs on it and it is dead. Yes, something special to know. If the new fuel line is going into the gas tank, be sure to cut a steep angle on the end of the line going into the gas tank. This will allow enough of the line to get into the tank where you will be able to grab it thru the gas fill opening with needle nose pliers and pull it thru.
