12535 means there is a problem with the drawer paper cutter. More than likely a strip or scrap of paper or dust is blocking a sensor. Turn off the printer and unplug it. There are two screws securing the front roll drawer cover in place. Also, there is a connector on the right hand side that connects to the feed button. Remove the connector and slide the cover to the right. There are two screws that secure the top cover of the cutter in place. Remove them and this will now give you better visual access to see if there is damage to the left or right senors, or the belt that drives the cutter back and forth. Remove any scraps of paper with thin forceps. If you see the sensors on either end dislodged or damage, contact Canon/Oce support. Generally it is not user fixable and will require a technician.
